anyway, i find it still a lot slow in menus (compared to DM7000) and annoying the fact that when going in plugins or settings I cannot continue watching TV on the background...

Just upgraded not complete install from fresh. Mulitcas and this firmware working excellent on NDS 28.

Noticed because after channel select ok the Channel selection screen closes at ok selection, it feels like channel changing takes longer to open but in reality it's not.
No doubt someone will complain about zapping speeds because of this.

I agree with icestr0m about the watching tv when in other menus I'm sure a very early firmware done this.

Just did a fresh install, multicas is way faster so I thought I'd try mbox, but for me does not open any channels.

I can only be advised if you install plugins (a lot) and then delete them, etc... Could always left a little file behind, but if you use it "normal" i see no use to format it...just internet update for me....

Well I have just installed without formatting app area, I simply installed from firmware update on menu.

All went very well, my initial reactions are that I love this firmware, for me there is a vast improvment on MultiCAS and this version, sly UK almost perfect, just been watching the Man ****y and Liverpoo game without a single glitch in the first half.

I did however find a new bug, when I go to add a new favorites group it hung the unit and I needed to reboot.

If u hv clines with reshare rights u can connect dvbapi/cccamd to multicas internaly . But if u also hv a card to be reshared using newcs that's another story : not possible because when multicas starts , it takes control over scard device and newcs stops .

Yes , newcs reads card in internal slot , dvbapi/cccam connects with nline with newcs and multicas connects to dvbapi internal with a cline (127...) . Now we can reshare card through dvbapi and we don't need cccam server feature in multicas for card in internal slot .

For me is only needed if there is something wrong with the installed firmware, for example, if you have a problem that no one have.
(the example that htmls said)

I had only formatted once, and was when I first installed a firmware, I did it for safety, but I never needed to format any more.

And about this firmware:

MKV are ok, high bitrate are a little better, but nothing especial.
But the quality of HD mkv (didn't try other format) are much better, must be because:
"Increased the video quality by correcting the mosaic problem at movie player"

About TV mode, the fact that now the channel list closes when the OK button is pressed makes all the difference.

This is the best firmware ever, and now there aren't much things that put the Azbox HD behind an dreambox...

I formatted app area ONLY once, on my azbox premium (mutant :) ) , pre realise HV ver without wifi
because , in the first FW , partition /dev/hda2 (/PLUGINS) have a half of size, but partition /dev/hda4 (/Download) have more space
I had to format ONLY once , and ONLY because formatt app delete all partitions od SSD and create new partitions with new structure and size
No harm in formatting APP area, but without format , mean if you use Normal procedure to Update FW , you save time , because all your settings are unchanged
After update with Normal procedure for update - your box is ready for use
but , if you use format app - you must restore all your settings (ch.list, motor position, emulators, plugins...)

SSD have 4 partitions :
/dev/hda1 135.6M /MMP
/dev/hda2 15.5M /PLUGINS
/dev/hda3 7.7M /DISK2
/dev/hda4 78.4M /Download

when use : format app - all 4 partition will be deleted and re-created
but if you use normal procedure for update , only first partition (/dev/hda1 - /MMP) will be deleted and will be write new files from new FW
other 3 (user) partitions remains unchanged

Yesterday and today I had 2 unexplained crashes of the system. Just went normally to another channel and a pop-up window appears, saying "An error has occurred. The system needs to restarted" A bit worrying. I haven't done anything to it, just zapped... Hmmm...

I guess that problem is old and not related with the firmware, but related with some error in the database of the channel list.

Maybe the best solution is to delete the problematic channels and do a new search.

If that error appears random and not in the same channel, could be other problem.
Here a data reset and then a channel list restore can help.

I kinda keep waiting for FW 1.00 to do my list from scratch, I suppose, the eternal optimist that I am...:rolleyes::beatdeadhorse5:

Moreover, I am waiting for a sat installer to repair some damage he had done when setting up my dish, breaking some bits on LNB holders - 2 or 3 were tightened too much, as it was bloody cold when they were doing it [otherwise they did a great job but for those small mistakes that now create some problems with weaker signals] - so, I have no signal on Thor for DigiTV etc. No point in doing it now, I guess.... Must wait for him. In the meantime it's other people's lists...

Also, it would be silly if they changed a format and I would've lost all that work, I suppose...

But if I don't do it anyway - who knows when I'll have the "excuse" to do it, heheee... Sadly, we may be in for a long wait, 'till that is done... :rolleyes:

How do you disable subtitles so that there not on by default? there appearing automatically for all channels on 28e (havent used my azbox in ages so forgive me if theres an easy solution!)

Russian teletext is not working. All messages unreadable. tested on TBC channel 36E 12265H SID:31011

When listening Radio with several audio streams it all mixes up. tested Radio on 13E 12226V SID:101 (Russian audio mixed up with Chineese)

That actually happened to me once and also to other guy in other forum.
Maybe you are right, this might me a new bug from this firmware.

It seems to be random when zapping in the favorite list (maybe also in others).

When you use one of them, you cant trust your Box, Crash is not far away

Hmm, again the Crazy AZHD, any Box has its own Life :)

For me, only if I use one of the three first Senders, but Im not switching so much at the Moment because the Error makes me angry.

Sender 4-11 all OK in Favorites.
Ive changed whole Settings without happyness.
It has worked for a longer Time when I killed all ä,ö,ü and such Things in the complete Senderlist.
After Updateon Sunday to 3877 all seems to be stable, but in the Morning I use Sender three and two, and guess what happens
