Has anyone tried some timed recordings with this new FW?
Ive tryed a few short recordings and heres what happened most of the time:
I set a timed recording and put the box into standby. Then at the correct time the box starts to record (red light on and disc spinning in VFD). Everything seems fine so-far...BUT once the recording starts it wont finish!!! The red light stays on with the disc symbol spinning on the VFD.It stays like this. Then I try to turn on the box, I get the "WAKE UP" message on the VFD but I have no sound of picture or OSD. Or sometimes the box reboots. Ive removed plugins but that didnt help. I reinstalled the FW from scratch , but that didnt help.
EDIT : I forgot to mention that after I get the box back on; the recording has not been made. Except for a couple of times where all I got was a second or 2 of a recording.
Anyone experiencing the same problem?
I would be greatful if some of you could try some short 10min recordings with the box in standby and see if you have the same problem as I do.
Just gone back to 0.9.3725 to test.

Yes, recording to an USB stick causes the box to crash most of the times.
Recordings works good only to an USB hard drive, or through LAN (to a PC).
(I have a Elite)

I'm not sure what could be the best.
USB HDD stills suffers from bandwidth limits (USB limits).
And are people complaining about dead HDD when mounted internally.
Maybe guys that have an internal HDD with a Premium model can give you a better feedback.

Get an internal HDD!
When i got my box (premium) i tried to record on an external usb HDD and had a few problems (FW 09.2880) even if it was formated in ext3.
Then I put a HDD in and everything went fine and since 3 months there was only one time the recordfunction worked not as it should.

I had the same problems the first time I tryed to record with last firmware, but I reserved a record from EPG.
Then I tryed to reserve record from detailed menù, I tryed 4 time and everytime everything is ok.
Did you post a bug report in the official forum?

On mine site also no problem here with records. But if you record to an USB-Stick, you must pay attention that the Stick is fast enough. If you record to an external USB-HDD it may be usefull to take an external power suply for HDD.

Right, forgot to say, its an external 3,5 with Power Supply.
Test for now, 10 Minutes to record, Record on this HDD from Sky HD Sport, good, a short flicker on fist 10 Seconds( could happen from CS, Record ORF HD was OK )
Record from SD OK from beginning
