hi all...

my box has been working beautifully untill yesterday.....

i swiched it on and it appears that i have no signal .... so iv been through the obvious.. ie checking the dish for movement .. the cable connectors are snug .. ive tried the cable in another lnb socket.. and what baffles me is i havnt made any set up adjustments for months now so i dont understand why i have no signal unless there is a fault with the tuner in the box...

any ideas..!!?:beatdeadhorse5:

I have read of early box's suffering with the tuner becoming loose, remove the top and give it a firm press and see if that helps.

can you hook up the box at a friends o neighbour place ?

or better yet if you can try another box at your place before
dismantling your own .

If it is only 4 months old then I would suggest what raul has advised.
If still no good then you need to speak to your supplier.

I assume you did not get it from the board sponsor :ack2:

Is it on a 'simple setup' for a fixed satellite or motorised ?

It has been incredibly windy lately, do you have a sat finder to check if it is still aligned? It might still seem secure but might have already slipped out of position.

Have you checked the tuner settings?

Does everything look normal there, what image are you running?

Have rats been chewing on the cable...:)

hi veron... yes its on simple set up for fixed satalite...... which it always has been and it still is..!! as for the dish slipping it doesnt appear to have.. the box keeps telling me to check tiner configuration..!!

hi mr bleu... i have checked the settings and they just the same as they always was..!! my image is enigma 2 2.7 and still seems to be ok..!! i have checked the cable for chaffing to and all is as it should be..!!

im totally baffled..!!

Test the dish/lnb/cable with someone else's receiver, that's the only way to confirm it is the DM. Any rx should do the job, even a sly box (choose a TP with 22000 or 27500 symbol rate).

If that doesn't work, it is probably the lnb or cable or dish alignment.

ive just chatted with our sponsor and he agrees that its very unlikely to be the box and more likely to be the lnb... but if it is then he will sort it asap..!
im goin to try another reciever later so hopefully that will point me in the right direction...

many thanks for your input so far... i will keep you posted on the progression..!!

Glad to hear you are sorted, I've had to re-align my dish after the recent gales

its suprising because it took me quite a force before i could move it by hand... thats why i didnt consider that it had shifted..!! but all done and dusted now..!

Same here, had to adjust the dish twice in the last few weeks. Over tightened the nuts and squashed my new pole.....now I've got to start from scratch!
