View Full Version : Traffic
I've checked recently interface statistics on my az and found this:
RX bytes:233607801 (222.7 MiB) TX bytes:18615764 (17.7 MiB)
actually quite a lot for a day. Is there any way to reduce traffic while
using Multicas or other sort of cas?
thanks.

well CCcam native has loads off traffic.
Really don't know with multicas but I can imagine it would be roughly the same;)

Stop watching so much TV or get an Unlimited Broadband contract.

UK - BE ISP (Upto 24Mb Down, 2.5Mb upstream) £21.50 per month, static IP, UNLIMITED!!! <<-- Really is unlimeted, i hit about 30Gb per week!!!
:) :)
PS - Through your phone line!
Its not the question of contract. I just wanna know
what sort of CAS client have most effective traffic policy? I'm not
concerning saving the Earth from global warming with lowering traffic.
There are places on this planet where the only way to connect to the
internet is the same dish with sat modem or sat phone and the cost of MB
are quite expensive there.

You only watched TV?
No youtube or LAN access (FTP, media center)?
Mbox is more efficient than CCcam, but since you use MultiCAS which is only client you shouldn't have much traffic.
The amount of peers you have counts a lot too.
