Yes.

I rarely have to reboot.

Maybe once a month.

Maybe better question is why the reboot?

First off all you don't specify a fw version
Second no specification off setup
Third not specifying when the problem accours

So how can anyone give you a correct answer.

I have to say I can't remember having to reboot/power down the rx due to an internal software error. Configuration/firmware changes maybe.

Just as a force of habbit, have got the AZBox HD timer set to reboot every day a midnight, as i work nights, is not an issue.

Dont get any problems during the day when watching TV.

Reboot at least once a day, mostly either after watching over 1h one single channel (maybe has sth to do with the time shift function - started after implementing this feature) or watching a .mkv file and then switching to tv mode.

same here....
at least once a day....
mostly after watching an mkv, using youtube or browser,
and returning to TV....
it s not that it gets problematic and crashes...
it s just getting somehow slow,, and zapping speed decreases....
it s like your pc running out of ram.....

don t need to specify fw coz this happens on all fws i tried

By the way. How do you format the DOM in the right way?!

Data reset (factory settings) and "Formating the appclication area" makes no difference. The latest fw stays.

Sometimes the subtext stops and freezes on the last word.

Then a reboot is OK else box is doing fine.

Ok but how long can you have you,r box in Stan By before it realy gets stucked on there.

I beleive the memory on the box just gets eaten up even in stang by and you need to reboot here and there, i have the Elite on the living room for the past 3 weeks, and today was asked from my girlfriend to take that out and bring back IPbox , AzBox was geting very slowly and did not react to remonte as when you reboot it, untill at the end it hangs totaly

Dont know what can be, but i run the box with no emu, no adon, just my card and multicas that is it, but the box gets very slow with in 2 -3 days max

Do you have the latest firmware on the box?
Do not switch the resolution to auto!

I don't notice my box to get slower with time.
Does timeshift cause this?
(I have it off)

Hello,

I point out that Timeshift is slowing down zapping, because the Azbox recreate the file at each zap (I think).

The Azbox is up and running for several days without problem but I mainly watching TV, activate timeshift only when needed and sometimes play a movie or playback a recorded program.

So I don't need to reboot my Azbox.

I only reboot it to upgrade the firmware.

My father is also only watching TV and never reboot his Azbox.

But can be very interesting if you can describe a way to always reproduce the problem that force you to reboot your Azbox.
