As in the past when when downloading new software its a later version than what is shown. In this case dowloading 688 gives you 700. Tried this, first thing noticed was Technomate splash screen when STB Boots. Also problem with epg. Programs cannot be accessed from EPG on satellite or Freeview.

What reason don't they update file-info (sw-nr & release-date) for???
Didn't tried it yet,did you have to load go-back software before try the new one?

Same issue - EPG works on terrestrial - also seems to have removed all uploaded codes for scrambled channels - can now only view by inserting Diablo ?

Technomate has nothing to do with patched firmware! No patched firmware, no k e y s to open locks

Assume therefore that installing updated Technomate software overdies / deletes any patched firmware ? - does not explain why EPG not working though - will phone them up and ask !

Yes, a firmware overwrites the present firmware in the stb.

Downloaded offiicial Firmware (not patched) to check it out. There is a problem with EPG. Back to latest patched from above.

Can I just relaod the "older" firmware or ido I need to load the Technomate "go back2 software ?

if you revert to before 7.00/7.00p, as I understand it, you would need the go back2 software: the older patches using a different bootloader

Hi guys,
just read all the posts re this subject and decided to see what the latest firmware is. The Technomate site has Ver 704 dated 12th Dec 2009. Upon downloading this to my PC WinZip reports that the archive is invalid. Will drop them an email to report the problem.

Try with 7-zip, should be ok, nothing wrong with that archive!

must be a problem at your end i use win rar and it unzip it ok

Hi GIGA and DXMAN,

Many thanks For your suggestions. I had downloaded and unzipped the version 704 on two PCs, one running server 2003 and the other running vista, both reported a corrupt archive. Noticed that Technomate uploaded to their site a new version 707 on the 31st of December. I am able to unzip this one so all is now well.
