new maps

Hi all i was watching shopping channel this weekend and they were selling new tom tom`s when they were going thru everything i`am sure the map version said 8.54 any up date on this guys

The v840 maps were only released @ 3 weeks ago & now they release new maps every 3 months. Might of been a version of Navcore - 8.544 is available for the Tomtom Start units ??

Can the TomTom Start ( this was on a shopping channel) be updated too as it has no card, must be internal memory?

Would of thought you can update them, never had any problems with any other tomtoms, just make sure you have enough free space to add the map, then patch the tomtom & activate the map.
