Clone 12V Power suppy causes massive RFI on all HF bands

Hi All ,

This is really for people who have any radio (ham , cb) equipment in their house . The 12V mains adaptor supplied with the DM800HD clone (mines anyway) causes massive radio frequency interference (RFI) through all of the HF bands (0-30Mhz) . It may cause problems on other bands as well . My PSU was approvimately 5m away from my antenna and I had 20+ QRN on all bands . Took me 2 days to find out what the problem was .

I'm going to try screening it or just change it altogether .

a pc psu works just fine as a power source for the dm800 :)

Thanks Echelon . I got another 12V 5A one locally for €10 . I had a 15V one but the specs say 12V +/- 15% and I didn't want to risk it .
