Google Phone Countdown on Google.com?

Go to google.com
Do not fill anything into the search box.
Click on "I feel Lucky"
A countdown clock appears. Could it be for the launch of the new Google Phone? Appears to be linked to 1 Jan.!

Think this only appears if you type google.com uk. did not appear on my (edit ) scandinavian google browser until I typed in the uk search.

Why hide it if it was just for new year.
That's why I was thinking it might be something different.
