Hello all,

I am trying to update the Key.bin file in MultiCAS, but MultiCAS won't allow me to.

If I replace the Key.bin file present in the /EMU/OpenXCAS/MultiCAS folder with a newer version (either through straight FTP or using MultiCASEdit), this new file gets overwritten with the previous Key.bin as soon as MultiCAS is restarted.

It appears that MultiCAS has some static, internal version of the file and systematically copies it in the folder as soon as it starts, crushing whatever was there in the first place.

What am I missing? :o11:

Cheers! :respect-048:

Hello all,

Ok, I finally figured it out somehow; MultiCAS only accepts a very specific file size for the Key.bin file, i.e. 37 kb. Files of a different size, even if the arrangement at the byte level for each key is the same, will not be considered valid and will be overwritten with the default Key.bin.

However, I can't seem to find files of the required size anywhere. Is there some kind of converter that allows taking a standard azbox Key.bin files (the one I have is 9kb) and fit it into the correct format for MultiCAS on the azbox HD?

Thanks!

Oh really, it does? Then I guess I got something set up wrong because none of the default keys seem to work for me. Do I need to configure the server parameters or something?

Thanks for your reply!

It's AU on some packages [N2, for instance] but you can also put the keys in via remote.

How to get the keys for MultiCAS via a plug-in:

TeChSat_AZK v1.0 (official version)

We present the first official version of our plugin for TechSat_AZK azbox.

With this plugin you can download and install automatically files Key.bin and new_biss.key always updated with the latest keys to work.

This plugin is dependent MULTICAS therefore to use it you must also install the plugin OpenXCAS.

Edit the file and add the url in plugins.conf according to this example:

[SERVER]
PLUGINS_SERVER_1=http://azboxworld.com
PLUGINS_SERVER_2=http://techsat.info/AZPlugins
PLUGINS_SERVER_3=http://islaremota.com
PLUGINS_SERVER_4=http://azupd.com

From this moment you can automatically install the plugin TechSat_AZK and others may be available directly from the server TechSat.

Thanks guys,

That works great! And the Key.bin file provided by this plugin can be modified with MultiCASEdit to modify a key or enter a new one if needed.

So all's good! :D

Cheers folks!
