What I can see are more options on the power off.

Now we have reboot and cancel added.

Maybe be other things changed or added but not found yet and no euro epg is NOT working.

Significant improvement in SD picture quality, especially footy (fast moving images). No need to keep switching to composite 576i now to get a decent picture.

IMPROVEMENT

1.- After recording we can choose language audio (yellow button control) and subtitle (red button control) of playing video... we couldn't choose this feature in the previous ones

2.- After checking the audio of recording and I see there is 2:
- AC3 (2.0 Ch)
- mp2 (2.0 Ch)

in the previous versions there was only mp2 (2.0 ch)

CONS
I cannot record Aljazeera Sport channels with latest Multicas version. what a pity!!!

Networkspeed now is faster, so perhaps 2,3 MByte/sec than box is on.

And a new bug. Setup-menu says Internet not available - even although Internet is available.

With CIFS I could play 1080p (~8Mbits) with older firmwares (<=4001).
Now I don't know if CIFS is improved to a point that you can see 12Mbits movies or more without much problems.

On 4001 i had problems playing the avatar 1080p trailer..
Even with nfs....
It s a nice encoded clip with great quality and high bitrate..

Now the clip plays fine!!!
Even on samba....

My **** in WMV at 1080p (8Mbits) played fine in CIFS with 4001, that 1080p avatar trailer must be heavier.
Now I don't need to use CIFS but is good to know that they read our reports about how bad/slow the CIFS was.

Cheers!

Windows7 64b bug still present... no streaming with whatever Windows7 comes with...

Try an different LAN Manager authentication level in regedit:

Open group policy object editor > Local computer policy > Computer configuration > Windows Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.

I use Send LM & NTLM response, and the azbox see my windows 7 x64 pc in the network.

Damn! Been trying but in Ultimate Edition - I just can't find it....:001_07:

Where the hell is it?!?:banghead:

Go to Start -> Help -> group policy object editor -> you get fu*k all and nowhere "how to start it"... Fu**ing M$ geeks... They should get a decent lobotomy and maybe they'll be able to think straight, in terms of "Our customers might not be IT pros"... ****s! They write about it "for IT pros" but nowt for the rest. IT PROS DON'T F**ING NEED IT!!! Echhhhhhhhhhhhhh...:svengo:

Don't get me wrong: I know how to start Regedit.exe -> and then, what exactly?!?

I also started mmc.exe fro Command Prompt -> Console1 -> Console Root -> Local Computer Policy -> User Configuration -> Admin Templates... I mean, there's all sorts of similar potential targets but which one exactly and what should be the command? I never got to the 2 you mentioned...

Uhhh.... Sorry... Not simple. We may even have different editions?

you need to run gpedit.msc (use the start menu)

(it's located at C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc)

Sorry not being clear enough and about the regedit confusing. But i think they found it now.

Background information:
This setting can affect the ability of computers running Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, and the Windows Server 2003 family to communicate with computers running Windows NT 4.0 and earlier over the network. For example, at the time of this writing, computers running Windows NT 4.0 SP4 and earlier did not support NTLMv2. Computers running Windows 95 and Windows 98 did not support NTLM.

Default:

Windows 2000 and windows XP: send LM & NTLM responses

Windows Server 2003: Send NTLM response only

Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2: Send NTLMv2 response only

Thanx to you and cosynmr for the effort!

Found something similar [I think]:

LGPE -> Computer Config -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options...

...but nowhere can I see "Send..."... The policy you mentioned is not really there [not the same]. So, are you sure about where it is and what its name is?

Can you be a bit more specific, please? It seems quite close but not quite there yet...

Cheers!:respect-051:

I have had loads of lock ups with this firmware, and have to reboot to regain control.

Not had lockups like this with any previous version.

I only had 1 lockup with this firmware, it was when I tried to see a MPEG2 movie which with this firmware and some older ones are crippled.

Can't play movies over network, which I could before and like others the box freezes and needs a reboot to work again.

I can play movies recorded with earlier firmware and can also play audio over the network. I have a Mac network.
