Yes, impossible to record HD channels (FTA and/or encrypted...). Brakes here after 8-10 minutes... :beatdeadhorse5:

Did you really try to record 30 min - 1 hour?
Here on FTA recording goes on, but Box freezes. Can't stop recording anymore, have to reboot then!!
Pls try it...

I recorded several movies each about 1.5 hours without problems.

You you are using a USB stick that can happen, only very fast USB sticks will work or any USB HDD.
I have a old 256MB stick (FAT) than can write in a PC at 7MB/s, I also have a 8GB cheap stick (FAT-32) that can record at 4MB/s.
Results, I can record even in HD in the 256 stick, in the 8GB I can't record anything and the box hangs.
There might be better firmwares than others.
i am useing 0.9.41.42 with multicam or cccam, no matter what i try i cannot record in hd on external drive usb or 160g internal drive. please tell us what your config is on cams and any other things that may give a stable recording. thanks.:respect-050:
oh also how do u recoed none stop instead of just the time for the program ao just extending time a bit. thanks again
gubernator and xanadu what firmware and cams etc are u using please. becuse it looks like others have record problems two. thanks

I'm using 0.9.4110 at the moment, the recordings are made with 0.9.3877 and multicas. I've got a WD10EADS in my Premium.

@eme
Does that usb hd has it's own power supply?
No troubles here with a wd 750 usb 2.0, on fw 4142 and multicas 1.61C-A16
my usb hard drive has its own power supply, will try multicas 1.61C-A16 and see if that makes the dif. either that or kick it trouh the window, i will open the window first dont whant to wast any more money.:

Seems to generally work for me with a Seagate Freeagent USB 2.0 drive.
USB sticks tend to crash the box after ~ 5min recording.
I recorded a bit with multicas on an HD channel (cccam client), and playback is delayed ~30sec-1min but did playback okay when it started. I will try a longer record.
using this firmware - azbox-0.9.4142-patch.bin

Hi!
Ok, I can confirm what fme_FTA said!
I used to record over network connecting to my NFS-Server (with the trick of using a USB Stick as dummy). Result: Recording crashes after 8-10 minutes. I also tried faster USB sticks (i.e. VoyagerGT), and same results.
I also have here a 160 GB SATA drive. Connecting to internal SATA cable the recording works perfect, even timeshift etc.
I also have an external SATA enclosure with USB and eSATA connection possibility. Mounting the 160GB drive in it and connecting via USB, recording also works perfect (only timeshift doesn't work 100% well, but it works).

Edit: Forgot to say - Recording tries made with MultiCAS as CCcam client on HD channel for more than 30 min!
tryed multicas 1.61C-A16 and 4142 firmware,i am getting the odd breakup as its recordind on 160g sata drive internal. will clean all firmware out later and try a clean install again. thanks.
