There seems to be a signal problem with Freq. 12341 V and azbox's tuner...
On this freq. some sly it HD channels are being broadcasted...
i have to make a manual scan to get those channels
and when i m trying to zap on them sometimes i get no signal message...
I m sure it s not anything else's fault coz
it s not only happening to me....
i have two friends with az that have exactly the same problem
it looks like there must be some kind of incompatibility problem with az's tuner and that freq....
i find it very strange no one mentioned this before...
i m curious if it s hardware or software problem...
anyone else on the same situation?

Which satellite?
Astra 2B (28.2E) - 12344.00 H - Txp: 33 - Beam: Astra 2B South DVB-S2 (QPSK) - 29500 3/4 - NID:2 - TID:2033
- this works well.

Ok
That s strange...
What s the make of your lnb?
I ve read somewhere that dm800 has problem with that freq too...
Not only that but also on some other freq on hotbird that carries cyfra+ HD channels....
And it s a hardware fault...
They ve released new tuners to fix that fault so,
you need to change your tuner or solder a capacitor on the tuner..
If i connect the sly box it gets that freq fine....
So all things are pointing on azbox..

Thanks for your replies!!!
This is very strange coz as i said i have 2 friends here in cyprus with the same problem..
And all of us are using different lnbs...
It s one of those things that are driving you nuts...
You don t know what to think of....
At first i though there must be some trouble with that specific freq here in cyprus....
But sly box is gets it fine......
Oh well...

Prima Fila HDThey are working, even if one or two struggle to show signal and lock on...
But recently I have heard about a possible HW problem with high frequencies, in AZbox HD tuners, which can prevent half of TP from working [in that case it was HB].
In some "faulty" tuners or in more than a few - I don't know at this point.
Can you swap it for another tuner, just to test quickly?

i had this problem i no the tp is different but maybe worth a look
If you are having reception problems with some satellite TV channels, one of the things to check is that it isn't your cordless DECT phone causing it.
DECT Frquencies are 1880 to 1900 MHz
Hi band problems:-
12480 to 12500 MHz (10600 MHz LO) IF is 1880 to 1900 MHz
Lo band problems:-
11630 to 11650 MHz (9750 MHz LO) IF is 1880 to 1900 MHz
For example if the interference occurs on a channel that is on 11642 MHz for example, the LNB will down-convert it to an IF frequency of 1892 MHz, which is right in the middle of the DECT band. Poor screening and/or DECT equipment too close, could cause problems.

Sat-Plus and Ex-YU forums.
A member from Croatia had the problem and he contacted AZbox HD people, who are sending a new tuner, stating that the problem is well known to them and they have a HW solution for it.
I do not know the details.

@leerock:
You live in cyprus. And the footprint of the beam (http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/hb8.html) in cyprus is not so good.
You need a dish with minimum 1 metres, better 1,20 metres.

Well my Elite and Premium plus reads that transponder without any problem ( can't test the premium because it; s somewhere else @ the moment ) and those inverto multiconnects aren't the best lnb's.
So to see if it was fw related I downgraded to latest availeble in list (2371) still no problem on the Elite. (*One off the first european ones)
So far all my friends with Azbox receiver have no problem to recive that transponder so in my hummble opion:

Crap, you do know how to use online translators, I hope...
Then Bebi said:
So, unless there is a misunderstanding somewhere in the communication...

Well I think Goran's explanation is the most logical one in this case......
The phone interference one would be possible
if all the three of us were living in the same neighbourhood...
Coz DECT equipment must be near...
So faulty tuners must be...
i guess i must learn to live with the problem coz here in cyprus we don t have an official dealer...
I ve bought it from the internet....
Carp95
03-01-2010, 05:54 PM
Come on faulty tuners??
The only one with this problem is you
Every one replayed to this topic didn't have it ( even Goran had it working )
They are working, even if one or two struggle to show signal and lock on...
Seems the problem is more related to setups then tuner related
@Goran
Yes I know online translators and they do a crappy job, wich off those 2 guys is Opensat, and for 2 tell the language wich it's written in
goran
03-01-2010, 06:02 PM
You can always write to Opensat or to those guys on the net you got it from, leerock.
Besides, I am only a messenger in this case...
I don't claim anything.
As I said, mine is working but not everybody's tuner is, as we have seen, so I would not jump to such a "strong conclusion" as Carp, just because I haven't seen something like that up to that point...
So I tried helping him and it didn't work. The guy went to those guys from AZbox HD team and this is exactly what was written on the forum...
Unless there is a great, big misunderstanding somewhere down the line...

Hi,
I`m having the same problem. This TP used to work (with some black outs from time to time-strange but I got used to it), but suddenly (suppose end of November donīt know what the FW release it was) this freq is without signal. Hardware...? Might be...

I have some kind of trouble on flaunt/eurobird 1 (11642 V) and svt24/sirius 4 (11881 H). The problem I experience is on flaunt (and that whole tp) I first have no signal, if I wait ~30sec the signal comes in and stays on. On SVT24 (and that whole tp) I have signal on and off, on and off, making it useless for watching. I have a USLAS rotor setup if that could be the problem, have not tried without the rotor or with other LNB (it's real winter here, with snow and down to -35 degrees celsius so any outside work is at a minimum).

I have had this problem for some time.
My kids are mostly tuned into 1w Cplus when i am not around, they keep losing dis HD, Animal HD complaining of no signal message.
Im on a motorised set up, and i find i have to swing the dish back to 0, reset and search manually for 1w again. Save and then the signal is back.
I have also just noticed the my digi channels on 1w, Nova sport TV1000 are also subject to the disappearing signal phenomama.
So i recently did as described above, then set the positioner to off. Upon returning to the AZ this morning i noticed i have a no signal message for those particualr channels, but i know they are there as my old sammy confirms 80% signal.
I shall upload the latest FW later today, and report back if im still losing the signals. Because i am getting the signals back after fooking around with the set up, i am edging towards a set up FW issue rather than hardware.....i hope!! Got my AZ from GW so no problem shipping back if its a HW prob.....right??

There is one of those particular channels in the top post I also have to be a bit "patient" to get the signal, mind... But I haven't really lost it yet, with my setup: T90 and 8 LNBs, with an 8in1 relay.

I am not loosing the signal. I only get the No signal message on the screen but in the background the picture it's steel there.
If I switch to another channel from the same TP I still have picture but with the No signal popup on the screen that will not disappear.
When I switch to a different TP then I have No signal and no picture. So somehow the tuner it's stocked on that particular TP. The only way to solve the issue is to power off the box.

After reading your posting, I wanted to try to change the symbol rate. Settings, advanced search, changing TP... and just before changing it I noticed that... TP is available, good signal quality!
What can you say?! Magic!

Very good! so i do not think it is a problem of defective tuner, I'd be more inclined to think that it is caused by the interference of DECT cordless phone ... What do you think?

new fw loaded and my problem still exist
for instance: 1w 12015H i have a 98% signal and 88% quality tuned into Dis HD.
Move around a few channels, back to dis HD no signal message. Same for some digi channels ie tv1000.
To get the signal to appear i go into TP scan - 12015H on 1w ie just highlighted and within 1sec the signal appears.
Go back to channel in my TV favs and all appears to be working again!!!

You know, this is pre-realise HW , this stb (with problem in your case) have a pre-realise HW, you also know that is free sample for testing only , and I don't know why You , make this story ??
You also know - problem in this case is : defective tuenr foa ALL Freq , no for High , but you say : high freq. :S why lie :(
Why are trying to distort the truth ?
This is not good :(
btw, I have several AZBox and of course no problem :)

2.Elite (first realise) - All ok with signal, of course :)
