ART/JSC Sport?

Good morning all,

I have an ART Arabesque + ABSat 12 month card, that since 1 January has not cleared the sports channels. I have checked the subscription status, and it has been updated. Interestingly, JSC+ Sport channels are clearing with the card.

Checking three different c/s receivers I see that all have ART non-sport working + JSC Sports, so I don't think the issue is specific to my card.

Checking on this and other main sat boards that I frequent has not shed any light.

Doing a bit of googling, came up with a topic on DigitalSpy, that implies that ART Sports have merged with JSC Sports, but even JSC Sports' future is said to be in doubt:-

Intersting this one.

I have JSC Sports card 1-4 on Hotbird but recently i can only clear
JSC Sports 2, but ART channels ARE working on the card.

Card is paid upto March 2010.

When you say ART Channels working, does that include ART Sports 1-6?

Channels like the ART Cinema, LBC, ART Prime Sport and Showtime Maghreb are still working.

I see that the ABSat channels are still clearing too, so that means that the card is clearing a mixture of ART/JSC/ABSat.....

ABSat this package was replaced by a similair package called Bis months and months ago....so I take it you mean Bis? :confused:

Art Sports 1-6 have ceased broadcasting since the 1st Jan. Art Prime sports and showtime maghreb are the only ones left now.

Re ABSat/Bis, the ART Arabesque full package Viaccess cards for 13E additionally cleared 7 channels from the ABSat package.

Now that ABSat has been replaced by Bis, I am not sure how these channels are defined, i.e an extension of ART Arabesque or a small subset of Bis, but they still clear :)

Update:

All ART channels are now down (not even clearing via C/S)
JSC 1+ to 8+ are clearing as are the 7 ABSat/Bis channels
JSC 9+ and 10+ are clearing via C/S

JSC 9+ and 10+ still only available via C/S

Can confirm Art sports down or (not broadcasting)
& JSC sports 1-10 all working via c/s at least anyway.

Jazeera sports bought ART sports in November to get the world cup rights in the middle east. They also tried for the premiership rights but failed and Abu Dhabi tv one them from next year.
