Hi
The lead that cam with my dm800 is not so good and always cutting out.
I need a new lead, but before i buy one from fl****, i heard that a normal dvi to hdmi lead wont carry sound.
Is that correct ? Do i need a special lead for the dm800 ?

Whats the deal, and where can i get a new lead from, other than china ?

Thanks in advance

You can maybbe buy a DVI - hdmi adapter and then use ordainary HDMI cable and this will carry your sound perfectly fine i do this for my Dm800HD because i need longer Hdmi cable that the one that comes with the dmbox 800hd im using Dvi-hdmi adapter and 10 meter Hdmi lead and it works fine i can also insert my Hdmi cable aswell from spiderboxHD which aswell also works fine for audio .
hope this helps .

I bought a dvi-hdmi lead ages ago from **** when I just wanted to use it for my media center... I connected it to my dm800 (since it was already setup around the stand for the tv), and it works perfectly fine...

It just needs the pins which are available in the cable to carry the audio. Most dvi-hdmi cables will have these pins in. If in any doubt, ask the seller you are buying from...

Using a Belkin one here as it is longer than the one supplied. Transmits sound OK.
