I have the following plan to build:

4 LNB's:

13.0 E Hotbird (Single LNB) - Port 1 on the Disecq switch
19,2 E Astra 1 (Duo LNB) - Port 2 on the Disecq switch
23,5 E Astra 3 (Duo LNB) - Port 2 on the Disecq switch
28,5 E Astra 2 (Single LNB) - Port 3 on the Disecq switch

A 4.1 Disecq Switch is used for 1 Azbox. The other reciever just needs Astra 1&3, so is directly attached to the duo LNB.

The problem is how to setup the Duo LNB in the Azbox.
Basically it is a switch, behind a switch. People say this must be possible, but I can't make it happen in the Azbox.

Please help me or my wife will be mad if there is no tv this evening :smash:

you need to know following information diseqc version of the switch and the duo lnb and what your receiver can handle. Depending this combination it might work or you have to replace components of your setup.
Temporary solution disconnect the switch or the duo lnb and just connect the most important LNB for the wifes satellite.
If you have posted the information: either forum members or your sat shop should be able to help you further with this issue:
replacing duo lnb by 2 single lnb's
adding another switch or one that can handle the duo lnb if your receiver supports this

- MaxDigital DiSEqC switch 4/1 (I think it is 2.0)
- Duo LNB is from Canal Digitaal, more info than just Diseqc wasn't available.

Hope this will work?

Haven't I already given you the data?

X x TWIN LNBs + 2 x Xin1 relays.

Similar thread in "Sat equipment.

And here, written by me.

Good luck!

You're in Scandinavia? No probs with neighbours = no moving parts and no problems in who wants to watch what? Simple...

Which dish have you got? LNB multiholder for a normal dish is necessary. But best is twin LNBs + 2 x relay.

Or Toroidal 90 cm + 8 twin LNBs and a couple of relays, as I said.

Minimum! :D

Peace! ;)

"Alternative guide..." of course... ;) :D

DiSEqC 1.0 - up to 4 LNBs.

DiSEqC 1.1 - up to 64 LNBs.

After reading the alternative manual I think there is a misunderstanding about Twin LNB and DUO LNB. I have a Duo LNB with twin output. (1 bloc for 19,2 and 23,5).
In a Duo LNB is a switch present which automatically gives the right transponder.
Now I want to add 2 more LNB's (single) for HB and Astra2. Left and right from the DUO LNB needs to be a LNB.

There is no misunderstanding. I know what those are.

LNBs are cheap nowadays, ergo do it properly...

That was my suggestion - and peace!

you need:
Receiver
|
committed switch (1.0) (a,b,c,d)
|
uncommitted switch (1.1) (1,... ,16)

what you have is:
Receiver
|
MaxDigital DiSEqC switch 4/1 (1.0/2.0) (a,b,c,d is executed here)
|
Duo LNB (Canal Digitaal) (1.0) (a,b is not arriving here)

the commands to the Duo LNB is not passed through the MaxDigital DiSEqC switch (A,B,C,D) but is executed there.

if you would like it to work you would replace the MaxDigital DiSEqC switch 4/1 (1.0/2.0) to a 1.1/2.1 switch if your receiver is supporting this. (suspect this combination will not work)

when you connect the duo lnb on port 1 of the new diseqc switch 1.1 the receiver would need to give this command sequence
13.0 E Hotbird: diseqc 1.1: switch to port 1
19,2 E Astra 1: diseqc 1.1: switch to port 2 diseqc 1.0: switch to port A
23,5 E Astra 3: diseqc 1.1: switch to port 2 diseqc 1.0: switch to port B
28,5 E Astra 2: diseqc 1.1: switch to port 3
have this confirmed where you did buy your receiver and where you buy the new switch!
This is how it should work in theory on paper. As you see by the above schematic this is opposed of what normally would work: first 1.0 and not the 1.1 switch

Well, I have a premium, I think it is capable enough for the job :-)
I didn't know that 1.0 and 1.1 was different besides the difference between 4 and 16 LNB's. But I will try this. Unfortunatly the shops are closed. I will try nex monday.

4 and 64!

Elite and Premium are the same in this respect.

Read first and then decide...;)

Well in most cases those DUO lnb's are rather crap after a disecq switch

So those DUO's have a commited switch inside ( disecq 1.0)

At least you need a uncoimmited switch in front off it then but I want give you any garantees
