Hi,

Since 23.11.2009 we've been releasing the Daily Firmware releases. The purpose was to give every user the opportunity to use the daily builds. In fact, many, many users have been using them, creating amazing amounts of feedback. So, in that aspect, the Daily project was a complete success. But, in practical terms, with the speed in which those releases are being made, we don't have enough time to analyze and test the feedback our users create after testing it. This creates a bigger problem, because we don't have time enough to send the developers any bug reports, and even when we do, they are already outdated. When we can't test and improve our firmware based on those tests and the user feedback, we waste time and efforts.

So, from today on, we are closing the Daily Project.

Instead, all the Firmware releases are from now on made with a periodicity of 2 or 3 releases per week. Hopefully that will give everyone involved time enough to test and provide feedback on the releases. From now on, it's allowed and expected for the users of this forum to report all the Bugs on the respective sections.

Update your boxes to download from this address: "http://fw.azupd.com"

Thank you all.

PLEASE

It's impossible to have EURO EPG back in official (or beta) firmware because a license is required for use by holders of rights as it is not an open system.
We must hope that Opensat publish the structure of its EPG and someone implements a weekly plugin external to firmware.

Hi FatGiant,
I'm glad to see you on this board (certainly one of the most complete on all'azbox),I take the opportunity of your presence at this forum to illustrate a couple of questions:
1) Since a couple firmware update are scheduled weekly, could you tell us the points on which you currently focusing your attention?
2) A few months ago you went very close to the cooperation of other teams outside.
Have you finally abandoned the idea of open source or was just postponed?

Thank you and good job :-)

Yet another lie from Opensat. 2-3 times per week? The last one was from 08-01-2010. When will they stop making crappy promises and start programming? I wonder when the last dissapointment will be...

yep if they said 2-3 times aweek it would be better than their daily fw upgrade, but after there last attempt at blindscan im beginning to wonder would it make any difference how often they released them..blindscan more like blindscam:beatdeadhorse5:

Should we use the new URL "http://fw.azupd.com" instead of "http://www.azupd.com" in the file "/DISK2/patch_URL" for the next releases

or

does it remain the same?

now Betas are again internal for some "special" guys, there is a new one since 3 Days.

And the Joke 2-3 Firmware per Week, sorry, but again the same Storys from opensat, nothing true, nothing work, nothing again.
But important Blindscan we must fix, of course, and there are hundreds of Basicfunctions NOT REALLY WORKING!
