You need to turn auto updates off at this time, or dont search for anything other than oozzoon updates there was a official release from DM to 2.7 in the last few days and the reason your box probaly crashes is becuase that facilty is not included in the official ones obviously!.:smash:

Do a flash back to oozzoon and it should ask you to restore your settings from your previous image ok.:respect-054:

:woot-035: i am a bit confused now oozoons tracks official updates for the dm8000 .
when you say facility do you mean fan monitor

so am i better of turning automati updates off .
or just have 2 plugins cross epg and gragh epg and let it track offficial updates from dm as that is what i thought this oozoon cvs image is designed to do

And also dont forget there is also a new fan plugin with the prefix "fanmonitor2" so perhaps that is a problem, do you follow "Dreambox Blog"? its all there try that.:respect-060:

i will have a look :cheers2:

ok what i have done since my last message. yesterday when the box did automatic update the automatic update progress screen did not come up with execution finished at the end of it. i was then on oozon full image. right now i have just reflashed the oozoon light image and only installed 2 plugins crosss epg and graph epg like recomended here.
i rebooted the box and then again the box said there is an automatic update do you want to install ? i installed it again.
you where right it is dm 2.7 only this time i got the message execution finished on progress bar. now all is working fine and i like the new feature like a picture of a flashing satellite dish when you move dish:woohoo-022: .
now my question is am i safe letting my box install automatic updates from dm or should i turn automatic updates of :woot-035: do you think

If you go menu>setup>system>customize and change it to expert you can turn the dish indicator on and off and also alot more.

Only updates from OoZooN. In the update plugin, change it to not automatic (or software manager). Before you do updates, you should re-set the box to clear free memory.
Drivers ARE updated - which are from DM (and others).

Do you have a swap file set up?

Do you have a swap file set up? i think i am getting the jist now so when my box updated the other day from dm it was just for the drivers?? and is it safe just concerned as i am new to the dm8000
what would i use the swap file for

A swap file is so that your flash memory does not get full it use´s memory from any another place. ie CF card, SD card, HDD....

Ahh right i did'nt realise you were on the "Stable" version of oozzoon which is now upto 2.7, i'm on 2.6 "Experimental" which changes obviously nearly every day anyway glad you got it sorted.:king-041:

if so does it always install propally.

is it safe to do this i have turned to check for updates on startup to off but the box is still checking

ok so when i go in to software manager and check for updates there is this just oozoon updates.

I really dont know, I would imagen it updates all. If you go to Oozoons web site and look in the "OoZooN's dreambox updates" section you can see the updates available.
