i looking for info on a internal hard drive and fitting a internal fan.

first does the hard drive have to be 7200rpm or a 5400rpm?

whats the biggest size the dm800 will take??

fans is there a connector for a internal fan??

also wheres the best place to put it??

if you look on the forum you will see other members have used say 1 to 1.5Tb hard disk drives , so I would have said up to 1Tb would be fine , nd I cannot see the drive speed making much difference , if any at all

as for fans , no there isnt an internal power connector for it , and on top of the chip is where most members place it , as can be seen from the modification pictures supplied by members here

as for powering it , some do it from the hdd power pint , others from a usb connector , and in most cases ppl wire it up themselves

there are several threads with pictures on the cooling issues and fans , so I suggest you read them , taking note of the modification pictures and details

alternatively , use an external esata hdd
