Looks like seek in movie mode isn't working in this firmware.
I guess they are working in the seek code to have seek in wmv, because now when trying to seek in WMV it doesn't give any error.

Euro_EPG is not appearing in Settings now, plus it is still not functioning in Plug-ins... Not that it was expected at this point... ;)

Well, now we may well get it, since they published the required tools and altered some stuff... ;)

How do you know the right port for the UDP streaming?
(if "UDP Stream" is really streaming to a PC)

I think you can only stream udp to AZBox.
Press in TV-Mode menu-button
Here you can see a new menupoint "streaming"

It works!!!

In azbox put the IP of your PC and start the streaming, then in VLC put also the IP of your PC and you will get what you see in azbox. :respect-048:

EDIT: This is not stable, now I have to reboot because I can't see the GUI.

In MPC it only shows a static image, if you press stop and play again you get other static image.

Other funny thing, when streaming is activated, it will stream that channel, if you change channel in azbox (inside the same TP) you can see the one channel in VLC and the other in azbox.

Hello,

224.1.1.100 is a multicast address, so this is send towards your LAN and every PC can receive the multicast stream simply by listening to:

udp://@224.1.1.100:9000

So no need to specify your PC or Azbox IP address simply use the multicast address.

Pressing the left arrow allow you to set the stream duration to not defined.

During streaming it is not possible to record (they probably simply change the record signal to a streamed signal).

In Azbox when watching a channel, press "MENU" in RC and select "Streaming".
Now in "Duration" put the time that you want in minutes, or try to select 0 minutes (not defined) and you will have the streaming activated without time limits.

Then in a PC, open the m3u file with VLC which is inside the zip in:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/y4qo3z

You should have the streaming working in VLC with a PC.

if there is anybody that has managed to be worked stream can that guy say to us how to manage exactly?

What pr2 said is correct! I didn't bother with changing the address or anything now!

Start VLC on your PC.

Press Menu to the left of upir OK button, on your remote -> Streaming -> don't change anything except duration [put what you want, like "Not define"] -> Start.

In VLC go to Media -> Streaming -> Network -> choose Protocol to UDP in the drop-down menu -> address the same as in AZbox HD, i.e. 224.1.1.100 and -> Port to 9000 -> Stream -> and again Stream.

It takes trying a few times to kick-start it but it does work now, after I rebooted, when it froze the first time!

SD is fine.

HD is blocky, at my end - but I use wired connection from AZ HD to the router and then wireless to my laptop.

Good if you're in bed, for instance sick, then watching on a laptop there... :coolgleamA:

Finally a good development!!! Now, let's check the 'blindscan'... Will we finally have a few good things to brag about? :respect-069:

=================ONE MORE THING===============

Can we have the same thing done in reverse now, please, working even in Win7 64b?

I mean, this simple and effective... :svengo:Maybe a bit better, even... :D

when doing a blindscan the azbox sets a position limit on my vbox just like the last firmware did, meaning the dish doesnt move no more, also ive removed all the tps on 10east did a blind scan and it found nothing,so make your own mind up

Blindscan test, with NIT switched OFF:

At 12.5W, I deleted all the channels.

I went to -> Scan all frequency ->
min. fr. 10700
max. fr. 12750
SR - the lowest I could find: 1730
Pol. ALL [the rest as is]

-> Start Scan

Phase A:
It's going in increments of 5MHz and it doesn't get anything at all... until: 12597.00 H - DVB-S (QPSK) - 1730 3/4 - NID:8192 - TID:4096 -> that was the lowest SR I could find on 12.5'W and I was waiting for it to be "discovered"... It did NOT see it.

In my list that was the highest frequency, too. It did NOT find any other frequency higher than 12.597, sadly!

Phase B:
The first run [up to 50%] was, I suppose, scanning all frequencies in combination with Vertical polarity, and then the second one Horizontal [from 50% onwards]... Maybe it will find and scan it now?!?

It certainly did NOT!

Phase C:
Then, it went once again, but for a quick scan, this time, using the transponders already in its list. It didn't find all that much... some 53 TV channels... Still nothing above 12.597 MHz!

Another little test, for comparison:
Now I changed the mode of search, turning ON the NIT mode and scanning through Satellite Scan menu. It still found the same number of channels.

Additionally:
I added all the frequencies above 12.597 manually [from King*of*sat] including the correct S/R this time, as the one in the list was wrong!]. Initially it didn't want to add it, as there was a similar TP with only S/R that differed, so I had to delete the one in the list already and then add it from scratch. When I finished adding all of those TPs manually, I scanned again. It found 2 more TV channels.

But it still couldn't find Tiziana Sat channel at 12594.00 H, for instance. So, I had to add a few more TPs manually, then scanned from 12515.00 H up... Got another channel. Then I noticed that I must add the missing 11157.00 H TP. It found another channel there.

Curious: I really struggled to get AZ HD to add and scan successfully 11100 H - DVB-S (QPSK) - 2000 5/6 - NID:1 - TID:1, as it just wouldn't find any channels there, even though the signal was strong and even though I added PIDs manually, later on. If I changed any parameter it just wouldn't see any signal... Finally, when I changed FEC to 5/6 [not AUTO, as it was], it finally locked on and got it! I surmise that there may be a bug in there, too, sadly...

I ended up with 59 TV channels, from the initial 53.

My conclusion: "blindscan" does NOT work in Elite and Premium models still!

Maybe in Premium+ but not in Elite and Premium models, sadly...

Anyone who can re-test carefully?

my linksys with OpenWRT installed also blocks the wireless connection when streaming is enabled. That seems to be a known problem with the router:

But also cable connected directly to the switch (not router) there is no image with vlc. no firewall involved. but vlc seems to see the udp stream.

cant get it running, too on Elite.
Dunno why.
Router is an Buffalo with dd-wrt(tested more then one Trunkversion),Multicast is open in Firewallsettings, but I get no picture.
Tested also with old 0.86 vlc with no Luck.
Tested 224.1.1.100 also and IP from PC, tested other Ports, no Luck.
Tested 5 Seconds delay, no Luck

Giving up for now, its not working here with an Elite.
With my second old Premium it works, so my Network is OK
Have no more Ideas where the Problem could be.
Why no easy WebIF like other Boxes with streaming????

So, logically, you were talking about streaming from PC to AZbox HD... ;)

With my elite, i have been unable to get the streaming from azbox to PC to work. so far.

Ii can still stream from the PC to the azbox using UDP and the azbox IP channel feature.

Next test is to have the pc and azbox just on a hub, or even just a crossover cable, to see if its the router blocking the streaming

EDIT: tried different PC( that i had previously tried before) and its working. go figure..

Found setting streaming on abox to the PC IP was much better than multicast. Then on PC , its just udp://@:9000 no need to put the azbox ip. ( i used vlc default port 1234 instead of 9000)
