Still DVB-subtitles not visible in tv-recordings ! ) I bet they are recorded , but not shown)

Even when using movie player there is subtitle menu available, but no subtitles to select from.

The timeseek is I think near to perfect ,so please , take the subtitle/audio menu things from 0.9.4219 and I'll be one sunshine !

> play resume - instead of the usual message when interrupting movie watching we now get a blank grey box with YES/NO to select (a guessing game ?)
> sth strange has been done to network speed meter now showing odd values (too low or way too high)

i have the same problem with this and previous firmware: i can't play MPEG-2 files on an external hard disk.
All of my mkv files work fine but if i try to play MPEG-2 files, it crashes, blank screen with a new pause symbol on top-left corner of the screen and i need to reboot.

Does anyone know what fw i should rollback to?

TIA :07:

Anybody know where I can download the above firmware as the daily upd site seems to have gone down...

I have finally switched in my Elite after more than 2 months especially to check the streaming part

EDIT: Streaming works very well

Even the HD channels? I have hickups and macro-blocks on all HD channels. Only SD channels go fine.

Same at my site. Streaming works well with SD, but not with HD. I think this is the problem with low networkspeed. The same problem is to record a HD-channel over a network. Or to look a HD-channel, or HD-movie over network, with the azbox.

quick question, when scanning for channels you can select 'nit' on 'network search'. what 'nit' (difference with 'normal')?

Nit = Network Information Table (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/NIT)

Hello guys,

Having trouble with this firmware to show subtitles correctly on .avi or .mkv files. It only shows at random times, although perfectly synchronised, then they disappear, and then it comes back for few sentences and disappears again an so on.

I've Formated the application area, run the update from USB, reset to factory settings, restore EMUs and Channels data, but still no luck.

I went about 3 firmwares back, still doing the same thing, but it use to be OK before updating to 0.9.4295.

Any ideas please?

Thanks,
Adrian

Time seek still not working correctly on all mkv files. On avi files, it's ok. But who needs avi files anyway?

Same thing happens on satellite channels as well...

Anyone with a lot of AVIs to see...

You are right, but in the "HD era", avi is obsolete. Don't get me wrong, but Az Box should be used to its full potential. I chose Az Box, among others, for being also able to play mkv.
