Hi. I am considering buying a sat nav. I don't go far very often, so I'm not looking spend a fortune.
I'm looking at the Tom Tom One IQ. Can anyone recommend that one, or advise me on something else?
Does the bracket that holds it have to be stuck to the windscreen (which is a long way off in my car) or can it be stuck on the horizontal part of the dashboard?
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Satcat,

I had a Garmin bought me for xmas. Very good. Also if you are struggling to mount it get a Satnav mat. This sits on any surface and satnav goes on it. So when you leave the car you are not leaving a telltale ring on your windscreen which may attract thieves

Go for the Navigo, ebuyer do them for around £40

You can put TomTom igo and a few others, it also plays mp3 and movie files.

I've played around with a few different makes and models, personally I would stick with tomtom. I find them much more intuitive than the others. Go into your local halfords or shop that sells satnavs and check them all out.

Prices seem to have come right down for satnavs the last year or so.

This is great value for money. You can either put tom tom on it or leave it with the shipped software on it.
