Is this version working on Azbox HD? If yes, also as CCcam Client? Better than MlutiCAS' CCcam client??

Working VERY well... ;) Very good job, very cool!!! :)

Now, can we have Mbox added, too, please... :D

Oh, Kanber, m8: can we have a nice mgcamd.info plugin, please... :respect-054:

==============================

Try the file attached to this message...

This is what I did:

-added the Via 2.6 keys to SoftCam.Key,
-added AutoRoll.Key,
-edited the mgcamd_cfg [G line to 41 = 01 Newcamd + 08 GBox + 32 CCcamd].

Then, one must:

-rename peer.cfg.example and cccamd.list.example to
peer.cfg and cccamd.list,
-edit peer.cfg and cccamd.list.

peer.cfg:

M: { my.dyndns.org { mypass}}
#
D: { peer’sserver.dyndns.something { myport hisport { hispass { A3 A3 }}}}
D: { peer’sserver.dyndns.something { myport hisport { hispass { A3 A3 }}}}

cccamd.list:

C: peer.DynDNS.something port username password

Then, send them to mgcamd folder in your AZbox HD via FTP.

Give CHMOD to 755 -> mgcamd and AutoRoll.Key.

This is just to be a client.

Dunno if what I did was 100% correct but it works. Tested! :respect-048:

=====================

If you have an original card and you want to combine MGcamd with NewCS card reader/server you will have to edit it some more...

Search this forum for info...

Good luck! :respect-048:

MGcamd is only a client of CCcam (up to 2.1.1), so no F lines.
Only C lines in cccamd.list

Then there's another option:

# 01 newcamd netclient
# 02 radegast netclient
# 04 camd3 netclient

To run MGcamd from Telenet [PuTTy]:

start it, login with root and your passwrd [azbox or whatever you might have put in], then

cd /EMU/OpenXCAS/mgcamd -> hit ENTER on the keybaord

chmod 755 mgcamd -> hit ENTER

./mgcamd -> hit ENTER

see the data flow...;)

First glance-test ( uptime 15min )

Connecting to local CCcam 2.11 server with local 0100:00006A card.

- As fast as Multicas 1.62
- Does a faster Job sitching to Veronica channel ( all multicas version has problem with that one )

Looks very promising

Have tot test other CAID's

Settings:

G: { 32 }
P: { 02 }

And the prio as I posted and added the ignore.list

Advantage above Multicas

- Better prio settings possible
- Better Ignore settings possible
- Multi emu support
- EMM support

This cam for me is much better on 2.1.3 with smargo readers then MultiCas it handles the higher ecm's that MultiCas can't .

I do admit I go four pixelation's in 4 hours. my dreambox on cccam also did at the same time and that was a .440 ecm time.

I have set all the settings for priority list and cfg files mentioned at the start of this post but not the ignore list.

I did read problems with connecting to server on dreambox cccam 2.1.3

also I have no other cam or plugin enabled .

Although I am running rsync to copy my music and avi's to the harddrive at the same time from my server. So I expect my network and receivers cpu is working hard.

If I connect to Oscam server, or to cccam server (my DB7000), I have freeze every 5-10 minutes.

May someone post the right config file?

Who can explain how to configure 2 different mgcamd version at the same time on the same azbox, I've tried this configuration:

Same here, leerock. Once it starts with troubles - not easy to reconnect, easy to "lose it again" etc.

Speaking as a lay person: "memory leak" or some such problem?

Hi Goran, all,

I have 2 questions:

1. If I need to use it ONLY as a CCCam client and not Gbox, do I need to touch/edit peer.cfg as you suggetsed below?

M: { my.dyndns.org { mypass}}
#
D: { peer’sserver.dyndns.something { myport hisport { hispass { A3 A3 }}}}
D: { peer’sserver.dyndns.something { myport hisport { hispass { A3 A3 }}}}

2. Does Mgcamd 1.35a depends on the FW version (i.e. I am with 3911, which is little bit old)

What I did so far is:
1. Edit the mg_cfg:
- G: { 32 }
- P: { 02 }
2. Renamed cccamd.list.example to cccamd.list and added my C line:
C: peer.DynDNS.something port username password
3. Send them to mgcamd folder
4. Gave CHMOD -> 755 to all files

NO Any luck so far...looking for the problem..
Cheers!

Haven't checked memory goran but i don t think this is the case...
Coz once the freezes get started, after you kill mgcamd, multicas struggles to reconnect too...
Even after reboot...
You have to wait a few minutes and then try again...

Seems like sth is happening on server site..

Don t know how to say it in english...
It s like the server is blacklisting a specific client that shows strange behaviour, for a few minutes...

No m8
peer.cfg is for gbox

just edit cccamd.list...

your mg.cfg looks fine

ohh....
I use latest fw but i think it will work fine on older fw too

thanks a lot leerock,

Well then strange..seem all is done correctly, but it doesnt start at all.
Multicas and CCCam 2.1.1 work though..
What might be the issue?

Use PuTTy to see what it says...

Start it, login with root and azbox for password [or whatever you may have changed it], then the following 3 commands, each followed by ENTER on your keyboard:

cd /EMU/OpenXCAS/mgcamd

chmod 755 mgcamd

./mgcamd

Copy and paste the log here but obscure the private bits!!!

I dont think that priority plays a role, since azbox runs only one emu at a specific time.

All others are deactivated any way

So, it has nothing to compare with, to prefer

well it runs in telnet but does not clear.

I still find it better then MultiCas for what I use it for no local cards.

Try a shorter "wait" for NewCS and longer for MGcamd, when starting and maybe... ;)

openxcas.conf in NewCS folder

[module]
name = newcs
daemon = newcs
argument = -nd
version = 1.6
xcasapi = FALSEopenxcas.conf in mgcamd folder, as you have it in my "Alternative guide..."

In EMU/OpenXCAS/mgcamd folder edit the openxcas.conf to add

api = yes
wait = 15sec ...as we heard on this forum, so the sequence is NewCS first to read the card and then MGcamd or MultiCAS or Mbox to connect to it...

Good luck! :respect-051:

P.S. When you do it by remote controller - how exactly are you doing it?

I go to HOME -> Plug-ins etc.

Then, I hit Yellow button -> OK, then choose something you wanna start and OK -> OK again...

But in this case you want 2 to be started, so here is an idea: start NewCS first, then get out and start MGcamd by remote using the > >¦ button... ;)

Hi,

I don't know whether this is the right place to ask, if not please excuse me.

I have a d i gi turk subscription with a c ryp toworks card. I'm using newcs (the version that supports internal card reader) as the card server and gave the dummy user auto-update permission. In the mg_cfg file, I've setup mgcamd to auto-update.

While watching the TV, picture freezes for nearly 10 seconds and restarts again after 3-4 seconds.

When I setup mg_cfg to not make auto-updates then it doesn't freeze on any channels. But this time, I need to place my c w card into the original STB to make it update the card every week.

I've also tried using the latest MultiCAS (1.62B A07). I tried using only multicas and newcs + multicas combination. The result is the same.

Is there any other way/EMU that I won't need to place my card into another STB?

Thank you,

Hi hanswurscht,

MultiCAS alone, makes card updates but it freezes frequently. Enabling auto-update on both MultiCAS and newcs and using newcamd protocol freezes also. I haven't tried another protocol for newcs + multicas or newcs + mgcamd combinations and I don't think that may change anything.

Anyway thank you for your reply.. I think I'll keep praying for a better version of MultiCAS that may solve my problem.. :respect-053:

Hi, here is a working solution.
AZbox HD premium plus.

I am running NewCS 1.67 RC1 with smargo smartreader+ firmware 1.4.

Smargo settings:
Autoswicth, T1 (NDZ card)
Kernel = normal.

Newcs in phoenix mode.
newcs.xml settings:

<name>smargo</name>
<type>phoenix</type>
<mhz>369</mhz>
<node>/dev/ttyUSB0</node>
<parity>odd</parity>
<reset>normal</reset>

openxcas.conf in newcs folder looks like this.
[module]
name = newcs
daemon = newcs
argument = -c /PLUGINS/OpenXCAS/newcs/newcs.xml
version = 1.67 RC1
xcasapi = FALSE

mgcamnd 1.35a

# network ecm timeout in seconds

In OpenXCAS menu mgkamd comes first. Start mgcamd with OpenXCAS, kill mgcamd with script and run it again,start and newcs. In this way works for me.

Thank you for this valuable info. I guess I can give it a try..

I'm also considering purchasing a cam module for my card. I've looked up the prices for smartgo and cam module, they were nearly the same..

Eren

Hi again.

I've finally purchased a CI module for digiturk and the freezes are gone. Now I've another problem...

Without the CI module, using any one of the emu-cardreader combination I can add or remove subtitles to channels and change audio language, but with the CI module I cannot add subtitles even though I can change the audio language.

Do you have any idea why this may happen?

Thanks,

Eren

Today I have donwloaded Satpimps MGCamd 1.35a too.
Now I have installed on my AZBOX for use as CCcam-Client.
I have edited mg_cfg with:
- G: { 32 }
- P: { 02 }
Rest like the manual from Side 1.

Everything works fine.
Still to now no freezes. Using since 1 Hour.

But I use an other mg_cfg for use the HD+ as the orign in Package.

With MGCamd 1.35 (without a) I have much Problems after 15 to 20 Minutes with rythm. Freezes.
With 1.35a from here not.

Many thanks to you all.

Sh... happens...

After 1 Hour and 2 Minutes Freezes every 10 Seconds for 5 Seconds.
In OpenXcas Menue Restard MGcamd and no Freezes for the next Hour.

Is it possible to create a Script to restard MGcamd automatic after 60 Minutes?

this version has probs when connecting to cccam versions above 2.1.1

If you have probs why do you want to make it restart every hour and dont you just use multicas which is the stablest cccam client at the moment?

I knwo that MultiCas is verry stable, but I have the Problem, that ORF 1, ORF 2, ORF HD and ATV+ needs a verry long time to open with MultiCas.
Needs Up to 40 - 50 Seconds by Switching from a, for example Free TV Channel or Sky to on from the ORF Channels.
Switching from ORF 1 to ORF 2 needs only 2 Seconds.
With MGCamd ist only allways 1 - 2 Seconds.
I cant fix the Problem with MultiCas and ORF so I have tried out MGCamd.

So if anyone has the answer to fix the ORF Problem, tell it me please.

You could try if the prio file can improve this. I have had similar issues with the c+NL package until I changed the prio.

Hi,

If you're asking about the one I've uploaded (mgcamd 1.31), that is only for Azbox original firmware.

Hi guys.

Just wondering on where to place the SoftCam.key, AutoRoll.Key and constant.cw files? Have tried /var/keys/ as mg_cfg says and chmodded the dir + keys to 777 but it still wont work. Have also tried/var/etc/keys and /etc/keys!

Furthermore, upon reboot, any changes to /var are deleted and a factory /var is restored. Any ideas?

Betas

Hi,
The response for above is the same folder as mg_cfg.

Now I've a question about the number of emus that can rum at the same time on openxcas. it seems to me only one witch is in the top priority the second and below are not working even if I restart them. Can any of you confirm this please and if not can you give the config to have more than one running at the same time.
(I've mutilcas as client and mgcamd as emukeys on OFW 54.02 on elite)
Regards
Gerard

Yes, only one EMU can run at same time.

Hi Zeini
Thanks again for your response. Apparently the the list of emu and the priority option is useless.
