My son has a tom tom one, about a year old.
It currently has UK & ROI map v725.1883.
Boot 5.5016.
App - 8.012.
Hope this makes sense, I am taking it from the tom tom unit.
I want to upgrade it to the newest western europe map if possible.
Can you advise me what map etc I will need?
I have obtained the BBS tools.
Thanks...

Just had a look on the tom tom site and according to them the device is a One / 30 series /125 / 130 - 512mb.
Also according to them, the latest western europe map for this device is about 879mb. That's larger than the 512mb inbuilt memory I believe the unit has, or am I wrong?

Unless the unit has an SD card slot you are limited with what you can put on it AFAIK.

I think this will be the case and Russel will confirm it, but I am curious why the tom tom web site informed me that I could upgrade to a western europe map which was 0ver 840mb?
It even gave me a price.
I confirmed which unit I have by entering first two letters of serial number and following this it offered me the above map.

My Son put western Europe on his TT ONE but he had a 1gb model. Are you sure you only have 512k?

One way to be sure is check it!
connect it to your computer when TT home starts close it go to my computer you should see the TT home symbol right click it, select properties and you should find your memory size.

Definitely 512mb.
If I had known the memory was that small, I wouldn't have purchased it.
Ah well, he will have to settle for UK & ROI.
If he ever wants to drive in Europe, he will need to purchase another Tom Tom unit.

Just load the country or counties that he my visit and use the tools to activate them after deleting UK. Not the full answer but thats what I had to do on my old Sony Satnav.

I'm on holiday now - first time on here since I left home so can't be much help at the moment.
All Europe maps are just under 1 gb or larger so only option is to use latest UK & RoI map & going to another country just get the country map as required.
