They take 1 week to manage a hidden fan?

Dear OPENSAT,
please don't joke with us!!!!
Please, do not waste what little credibility that has been with a release with unnecessary functionality.
Please do not joke with us, I can not believe that in a week you implemented 1 fan!!!!!!!
Try not to further exacerbate our minds ...
There are dozens and dozens of bugs that need to be fixed and features that need improvement.

I'd like OPENSAT definitively clarify its intent by drawing a roadmap with a minimum of dates (even approximate) for the solution of some known issues.
In all the companies there are planning (although not always respected), I hope that even in Opensat there is a minimum of planning.
I hope to recover this situation, Opensat have the courage to do an act of transparency.

I bought a Opensat device (azbox HD) but now I NEVER BUY another device made in Opensat!

Can confirm fan on is working on the non + version.

At regular interviews I receive a pop up message on my Tv.

"Chrissat you are so great"

"Chrissat I love you for buying an azbox"

"Chrissat you're the best"

I feel so much happier now I have an Azbox fan.

No proper changelog, no "How to" - and regularly?!? Well, at the bottom of it, I suppose, we could find:

1) English problems [Korean developers]

2) attitude problems [too many developers in general suffer from it]

3) incapacity to write in anything other than an "IT developing language", regardless of their mother tongue [maybe - if all of us could "read" the "0111100011100011000" type of messages?]

4) atrocious PR [OpenSat's failure of epic proportions...]

5) bad management - just one of many bad [non] decisions [hello, Hugo...]

6) who really cares what AZbox HD customers say - "OS/Celrun are on a mission"... [of self-discovery, so AZbox HD customers do not REALLY matter...]

Honestly, Hugo, do something, for crying out loud... It's your responsibility to manage those guys and fix those problems!

i'm happy with current firmware...works ok for media center and watch TV.

but this is getting rediculous...all that "new firmware way" was forgotten!?

fan on/off

nice log!
i like my azbox. but im gonna use it in a non HD TV to watch movies and TV and never worry about it ever again.

and gonna buy maybe a dm500HD or dm800.

why? because zapping is way faster and support is awsome!
and they fix stuff that we use!!!

major bugs: zapping slow, openxcas wtf!?, network limitation, usb limitation.

chip sigma: ****ty image quality?! still??

opensat u're giving sigma a bad name. really.
i had a popcorn hour months ago. i remember SD upscaling with 1080p, it was amazing!!

now i watch a divx/xvid avi and codec is "shaking" and ALL LINES are "pixeling" every second. like christmas lights. blinking... it works...but what's up with quality, is that really that hard.

Hmmmm. I just spent about the last week editing & moving all the hotbird channels into the order i wanted them in (not far off 1000 of them!), but couldn't remember what numbers they were on in the 'all channels' list, so went into the hotbird only list. After doing this, i noticed all channels had reverted back to the default position they were scanned in. Nice bug! At least i can spend another week editing & moving them again safe in the knowledge i can now turn the fan on or off! :banghead:

What's the problem, give them the right time...maybe they need just a couple of month...

Ok I try to think: why they enable the function fan on/off?
There are noise problem? I think the best is to use better fan. because if fan is used for cooling, isn't a great idea to swith off by user...
Why not automaticaly switch on the fan when temperature is high?
If temperature is everytime high, why not use a more powerfull fan?

I don't like the option to switch off the fan, but if You can't improve the fan features, I'd like to define a working time and an idle time for the fan than switch of the fan by user.

Usual bollox as expected with any OpenShat firmware release these days.
Its simple guys, lets all sell our Spazboxes and boycott the jokers, we can then spend our time doing something more productive like letting everyone we meet know how crap the support is.

I hope they never sell another crappy product again.

Whatever it might be, this s*cks. I really can't imagine there is one sensible soul who would buy a premium+ and has the knowledge we have. And Goran: I gave up hope that this Hugo will rescue this box. As I said before: ask some Indian company if they want to program and let them handle it. This is:
1. cheap;
2. fast.

I already ordered a new VU+ and I want to recommend everyone to do the same. Nobody with > 1 year of knowledge can be positive about Opensat.

Hugo mother released the code, you see, you are not able not have the right people, open the code and let others do it, your failure has gone around the world, your prestige in Europe has fallen, we have stopped trust you, we no longer support them, and we've stopped buying more junk, open the code, and or have to leave Europe with his tail between his legs.

what they have to do is hire the first programmers, if they do, they should throw away the firm, gasoline and fire, and start from 0 because they have no idea how this made the firm.

1 year ago in March I have my first az, works worse than 1 year

Somebody thinks that in 1 month or 2 or 1 more year ...

You mean it played a m2TS file,a rip from a blu ray,correct?
And you say it was 40mbs bitrate from HDD attached to the box, correct?
Can you play any of those or you only tested one?

The problem was always record high bitrate channels, and play them back.

Are you joking? the are dozens of bugs that can be fixed even without support from sigma. Do they need sigma support to fix EPG? AFAIK - NO
to fix bugs in the GUI? Why they can't make this VFD from middle 80s show the correct channel while recording? why I can't get a correct list of scheduled recordings with the correct timings?

I use a 8 GB class 4 micro SD (FAT32) in a USB stick reader.
Before this firmware, lock ups after a few minutes of recording. But so far no lock ups and the box is responsive when recording.

Will try a high bit rate mkv from the stick later on, when the TV is free.

New fw now loaded in just wating for some thing to go wrong hehe
did a complete reboot so in the process of loading in new sat/channels

Does any one no if the scan all frequency which i reckon must be the so called blind scan does only scan the symbol rate that you imput your self looking at reports me thinks theres a long way to go with this one and like alot of others it was a major reason for buying it.

Zeini

No Zeini just the Premium but i was informed that it was a form of blind scan as we can see a very limited form at that as i think it only scans the 22000/27500 symbol rate which as you and i no is'nt much use mind you it covers 95% of 28.2 having just scanned it.
Im waiting to see what any body else comes up with (posibly Chris M) before trying me luck to see if it will except a lower symbol rate as i've learnt with this machine creep before you walk.
