If it's encrypted it would show as Biss under encryption.
Not familiar with Technomate but may show under Info.
On my 6800HD non super it will say scrambled channel if it is encrypted. With 4:2:2 it says no audio/video. The screen stays black unlike my earlier 5500CI that shows lots of coloured squares with audio clearing. I didn't think the audio cleared on the 6800 but it did this morning on 7E for the shuttle launch that I watched (in 4:2:2) on the skystar2 card in the pc until they put the feed up on 10E (and s*y) in 4:2:0
if you press info on RCU and it shows $= encrypted pay TV
press a second time and it will show the used coding: powervu, seca, nds, ... and sometimes leave it blank or perhaps unknown (not 99% on this).
