Hi *,

You need to upgrade OpenXCAS from:

azboxworld.com

or

azupd.nl

To have it working with this firmware 0.9.4461.

Please spread the message before complaining that it is no longer working. ;)

Pr2

P.S.: Try to enter OpenXCAS menu and you will see that it is no longer working.

you mean once again? when I upgraded to new fw and tried to open Openxcas there was a message. So.. I've upgraded to new openxcas and it hangs with FF key. What should I do now if I want to roll it back?

Hi,

No the old OpenXCAS is not working. Try to enter into OpenXCAS and you will get an error message.

Yes you still have decoding but your are no longer able to configure MultiCAS.

You need to upgrade OpenXCAS to be able to enter and configure it.

New OpenXCAS works fine for me, except when I want to download a softcam, the softcam list from the servers doesn't show any softcam at all...

Deleted all plugins via Settings installed OpenXcas from azupd.nl downloaded MultiCas from Openworld's server.
Note reaction to every remote press and screen change is very slow in Openxcas.
Send Bin file to receiver, restart MultiCas in Openxcas.
switch back to TV select '> > | ' menu appears and that is as far as it goes .

Have to reboot. MultiCas is clearing. also appears to handle higher ECM's better.

Go on make my day someone tell me cccam works now.

EDIT: while I was doing it all, some have posted but here it is anyway... ;)

Do as you're told, hfmls.... just do as the bosses have intended... :D

=============BACKUP=============

Nah, better do as I tell you to. :D It will work, using your old MultiCAS from the previous FW + telesat's MultiCASedit! Beware, not all is OK with the new OpenXCAS and therefore MultiCAS!

============PROCEDURE===========

0) I put patch.bin on my USB memory stick and inserted it into AZbox HD.

Used my remote:

1) Home -> Setings -> Backup -> [to your USB stick] Channel list. No point in saving the Plugins like this, since we have to re-install OpenXCAS from scratch. Back them up via FileZilla Client, though! Make sure you have the new MultiCAS installed, then back it up!

2) [optional - if not, go to step 4!] Home -> Settings -> Data Reset -> PIN [0000] -> Delete all channels, then Delete plugins, then Factory Reset -> machine reboots.

3) [optional] Upgrade Menu: Format application area -> OK -> when done press Exit key.

4) Upgrade Menu -> USB -> press OK to upgrade with FW 4461.

When done AZbox HD reboots.

5) [optional] Settings Menu -> Data Reset -> Factory Setting -> OK, to do the reset -> confirm. AZ HD should now reboot, again. It should now be as clean as possible, from the old stuff in it...

6) [optional but necessary, if done steps 2, 3 & 5] Setup -> System Information -> Backup/Restore -> Channel -> choose where you put it beforehand, when you backed it up -> OK -> it will tell you if it was successful... You have your old settings list back in your AZbox HD. But I had to redo my DiSEqC 1.1 settings, as not everything was restored.

To back-up and restore your channel/settings list, you can also use Morser's MaZ program, telesat's channel editor or SetEdit for AZ HD. These programs should preserve all your settings properly, including the DiSEqC ones!

7) [optional but necessary, if done steps 2, 3 & 5] Now, sort out all the settings according to your needs [I go for Language, HDMI, 1080p, DHCP, Network (DynDNS etc.) etc. etc.].

When done check out the picture quality etc.

Now, download/install OpenXCAS first and then MultiCAS. After that restore the rest of your Plugins. So...8) Home -> Plugins -> red button on your remote -> azboxworld link -> OK -> OpenXCAS. When it is done - reboot!

9) Home -> Plugins -> OpenXCAS -> Download Executable -> MultiCAS version 1.62B.After that go to Download Config for MultiCAS.

But! Since there is a problem going into the MultiCAS menu to activate and edit it - I had to restore some of the files using FileZilla [I did: module, splitterdata txt and bin, plus Data9F files], as described in my "Alternative Guide..."

Make sure the module and other relevant files are given the 755 ["CHMOD"] Attributes, as described in my "guide"!!!

Then, I started telesat's MultiCASedit and I messed with it to make it work: in "Splitter & CCcam" tab I clicked on "Receive from AZbox HD", then I clicked on "Sent to AZbox", to activate it.

I also restored the rest of my Emus/CS SW/plugins and other files in Plugins and OpenXCAS. Again, all the modules and other relevant files must be given the 755 ["CHMOD"] Attributes.

Make sure you have module.seq file in OpenXCAS folder. Mine looks like this:

#mgcamd
#MboxCAS
MultiCAS
#SCDXCas
#newcsWhen I was done I rebooted!

All was working, all my EMUs/CS SW/Plugins. :coolgleamA:

Once again: some buttons/functions in some menus, for some EMUs - are not working 100% properly [read "as before"], as you will see: EXIT button etc.

I did a clean install (formatted Application Area):

New Openxcas is slow to respond.
Certain menus are empty or don't respond.
FF (> >) shortcut key crashes box.

Multicas still unable to clear certain BIS.tv channels (eg. M6, Doecel) with official card.

That is in response to who/what?
And you you explain how to do it?

EDIT: OK, I found answer in another thread - I already have module.seq

lol
i wasn t drinking m8 but maybe in the end,
the psychic pressure this box has on us,
will lead to psychological problems like
double personality...
lol

what i meant was....
it s got an improvement in performance...
i ve got noticeably faster zapping with multicas...
and the channels always clear....

but the config interface of openxcas is too slow and unstable...
for instance when you navigate via remote to edit openxcas settings it s 3 times slower than before.....
when you press a button, you first have a blank screen for a few seconds and then the next menu,
and sometimes it stays on the blank screen....
The ff menu hangs the box for me and needs reboot...
that s what i meant by slow and unstable.

well...
it may not be perfect but at least it s a sign that they are working on it...

Hello,

Simple method to create the missing module.seq
in telnet just type:

echo MultiCAS > /PLUGINS/OpenXCAS/module.seq

For the people that cannot download plugins, it is because your DNS settings have disappear from the configuration so simply reconfigure your DNS and everything will work again.

Well went through it all again and this is what I found.

normal procedures for installing as already do***ented.

you know the score usb format etc.

so now firmware loaded:-

install Openxcas reboot
install multicas and config reboot.
go plugins select Activate - Multicas is not visable but arrow down and select ok.
reboot after reboot seq file is present. Enable Multicas via OpenXcas
Now select Camd Setup, Multicas, Smart Card and Splitter Cs this now hangs.
Reboot again. Go back into Smartcard and Splitter menu now works.
load settings from cccam.cfg file save.
You can now use Multicas menus in OpenXcas but still not via '> >|'

hope this helps someone.

Yeah but I also couldn't load the cfg - red and blue buttons wouldn't work, so... ;)

Mind, I had KGD FW in mine, so maybe that was the added difficulty? :)

Aha, now I get ya! And confirm your findings re. the speed of reaction in that particular menu, yes... ;)

Mine did hang, too - but on other functions... Can't remember exactly which now... :smash:
