So, its been a while, very stressful at times and the urge to sell the box did indeed cross my mind, BUT, i'm so glad i didn't with the latest software update correcting so many problems, development of enigma 2 in the wings and other developments that we've been waiting for and last but by no means least this web board is the nuts, always has been and hope it continues to be...oh and it also has the best admins and members...word!!:respect-053:
ps say something positive if you too feel solid progress has finally arrived!

I agree that the firmware has leaped forward on the latest release, as with anything when we all purchased our Azboxes we took a risk, the risk was we could either have an amazing box with ulimited support or we could have a lemon.
I think we are at middleground at the moment, and I am going to stick with the box ( After a lot of thought ) and see what the future holds.
That said the customer feedback / experiance from OpenShat is terrible.

Chins up and lets hope for the best.

I've been one of this boxes' (or rather Closedsats') strongest critics, but finally with last FW they moved forward two steps without stepping back for once.
So, a thumbs up from me - box now does the basics pretty well.
In this respect it reminds me of my old Tm 9100 which was a brick until EDG 4.1 came along.

However Opensat have contiunually failed to learn about communication, and their customer service is dreadful...absolutely the pits.

I've already read people ranting about azbox, but hardly a word of praise. It may be surprising but I've always been a satisfied user of Azbox since the very beginning. It's been a great movie player, music player, you tube( thought not that good), and TV viewing has always been OK. Though not with cccam but other cams such as mgcamd have been rock soild since the beginning of this box

Couldn't agree more. I understand the critics, and I agree to the lack of support, but for me, the box is very stable, is acting like a perfectly fine mediaplayer for the files I use, is doing fine in tv, etc.

Not sure what problems the OP is was so happy that have been fixed in latest version?

Azbox HD has always been good. :)

The main thing that has made a difference to me is the fixing of 1080p movies with DTS audio on .

Still waiting for the EPG to be sorted out!

The AZbox is good, in Australia we are 10 years behind you guys :banghead: with only a few good English satellites, so the box is quite good, hopefully channel zapping will improve, as it is quite slow
