i just press up on remote, highlight channel then press menu.

Options in there to remove channels, or reload list using
DBE and do it that way

Well you need to check ip password setting then.
You shouldn't have any problems???

sorry mate but you have lost me here....we are talking about Dreambox Edit here arent we ? where and why do i need to check my password ?

if you have setup dreamboxedit correctly you should be able to login to your image with it , and so you can download the channel list , edit it , then upload the edited list back into the box

the point here is the name and pass are correct or the ftp programs wont access the boxt so you need to sort out the dreambox ip address to a fixed ip and make sure the login name and pass are correct too

once your images use the same login ip addy and pass then any ftp program wil work including editors

right got ya...dcc works fine and ftp "within" dcc works fine...so it must be a setting "within" db edit which is not right

under options had the option to test ip address and user/pass all tests are ok....when i try to import files from the dm800 i get this error message
"the directory you selected contains either no services data or an old version of the setting files. This version of openDBedit only supports file-sets belonging to (unofficial) images 1.04.a.5 released after 14th Feb. 2003.To edit older file-sets use DBedit ver.1.41 or older"...any ideas ?under the options menu i choose ver3 settings

just tried this on mine using v3 settings , and no problem here

I suggest you havent set a free and empty directory on your pc , so make a new folder with todays date , select this as the destination folder , and then hit the receive files from dreambox button , and it should import the dm800 bouquets etc

no idea m8

my list is a version of a recent cajton E2 list and that works ok

so maybe you should scrap your present list and use a cajton E2 one like me ?

or use the remote control method described earlier

ok...could you help me "scrap" my current list and find and install the one you use..I have only ever updated my channel list using green button>addon>addons download manager>latest 10 uploads..
cheers

download the cajton E2 list off here , and load it into dreamboxedit , then send into your box overwriting what is already there ,
then use RELOAD SETTINGS ON THE DREAMBOX , and then do a hard reboot

looks like I incorrectly assumed you were using an up to date version of dreamboxedit ;)
