No mate - internal hard discs do NOT apply to ANY of the TM6000 series, dont know how you ever got that idea in the first place - the models which CAN all use USB connections, either from the front on the non-supers and front or rear on the supers - but are all EXTERNAL hard discs!:respect-050:

i think the other device in the back it i s called sata but i could be wrong ,but still external you then got a choice ,but most people go for USB ,i would not advise a big HD as there is issue with some ,i got a 500 giga on my 6900 a big issue
i got 250 on the 6800 and i never had any problems
If you go for a usb HD don't buy a big HD

I have always had a 500 gig hard disc mate - with no probs at all, once I got it correctly initialised (set up) at the start!:respect-050:

eSata: mostly it does not work
External powered USB: problems, not external powered USB hard disc should be OK.
Have not opened the box yet: still warranty and has a seal.

I think depend from the make mine is a maxtor and it has PSU i got no idea why is so very faulty every time i have to record anything manualy it is a big issue,if I press the red button more the once he is recording ,but then in the same time it go to sleep,so i loose the recording,it could very well be faulty, maybe i should particion again in case there is a problem
but saying that i was ok until i put the patch 700 serie, that's when it start going wrong, i even change the PSU but still there is an issue
