Connecting to my DM500s

I am using flash****** pro to try and connect to my 500s via the ethernet port using the dreamboxes IP address and a network cable from my laptop to the box

i am trying to flash gemini 4.2 onto the box, but know matter what i try, i just connot connect to my box?

any ideas where i am going wrong?

you need to use dream up and a null cable from pc to serial port on db, and make sure it is an official dreambox and not a clone as the later gemini images have a time **** in them which will ªuªk up your box,

mine is a clone, but i'm told that 4.2 is safe to use on clones.

do i just need the box turned on and the cable from pc to box and use dreamup? or do i need the box in any spacific mode to do this?

If you must use Gemini and I have no idea quite why people insist on it just use a Clone safe version.

There is a 4.7 clone safe version which is modified and looks quite nice.
