Am having trouble scanning in SCT and S1 - S7 on transponder 11.727
All other Hotbird transponders give a blue and yellow signal strength, but this one all red bars with the bottom one going up and down.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I would advice not to many blind scan's on existing channellist's. Blind scan is normaly for adding a new satellite with unknown transponders. (This will clog up your transponders quickly)
Using the pid search: you see if that transponder is there and if the main parameters are alright!
check for the transponder with left or right cursor on RCU.
By entering the numbers on the:
Transponder you get the choice: add or edit
Symbol Rate you edit the transponder
If adding the same transponder you get message it is already there.
Blindscan adds transponder even if it should be the same.

Thanks for all the advise, will try later when the misses lets me use the tv!!

Did try a blind scan between 11.650 & 11.85 and it locked up on me.

Was able to get them on my other receiver, Fortec Star Passion.

Will post results later

Cheers all

looks like you might start to clean out unused channels and transponders: channel editor (https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread.php?t=110802) <= click here

Having this recent free look at the SCT channels makes me glad I didn't choose to subscribe to them. Only 4 24 hour channels, 4 part time, and flakyish picture quality and content.

Blindscan adds transponder even if it should be the same.
I assume Blind Scan also still slightly screws up the symbol rates. Not that it seems to make a difference to actual reception.

also before you blind search remember to delete all the channels
symbol rate when scanning always been an issue with the TM

I had trouble blind scanning even though I deleted all channels. Then I realised you have to delete the RADIO channels as well to make it work properly every time.

or you use a special channel list to blind scan. Make a copy of your current channel list, name it blindscan. In the channel editor on the channel page remove all channels. On the transponder page remove all transponders. On the satellite page remove all satellites out of your range and those your not interested in.
copy to USB stick, upload to receiver, select satellites to blind scan, I still believe 8 positions is a maximum. After the blind scan, save channel list on USB stick. Transfer to the computer. Open your original channel list and the new channel list with the channel editor and have them side by side. Using one of the sort or select options on both lists, you can compare both.

If you're only interested in new TV channels on existing transponders: use the auto navigation feature. From time to time check on your favorite website (KoS, Lyngsat, Flysat, ...) for new transponders or symbol rate changes: these are not covered on auto navigation.
