I'm having problems conecting Newcs to either mgcamd or multicas.
I get
[newcamd] unknown message from 127.0.0.1
[newcamd] Login to 127.0.0.1:21000 as dummy failed (25ms)
I'm using default settings to connect.
I read the docs and searched the board.
Also to note can't find Gorans help sticky on this board, but have read it on another.
Not sure which version on Newcs Im using got it from Terromans download site.
any help would be greatful.

I don't use Azbox but I guess it is no different to Dreambox
Show your newcs.xml with private data removed and your newcamd.list
These are for Mgcamd

Change this:
CWS = 127.0.0.1 21000 dummy dummy 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan local
to this:
CWS = 127.0.0.1 20000 dummy dummy 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan local
assuming newcs and mgcamd are running on the same box.

Are you sure that newcs is actually running?
Smudger
14-02-2010, 11:45 PM
yes I'm running from telnet session. might give up on this.
percivjr

No, don't give up! This is not rocket science.
Kill newcs and mgcamd.
Start newcs in telnet. Then start mgcamd in separate telnet session.
Post newcs console output.

I see you use scard... Does this mean you use NewCS 1.20 too? I think the new white NDS cards are only supported fully in the 1.67 version where you need an external reader... Also boykey is set to 00000000... Maybe this can be your problem?

yes these are on the same box.
You need to change your ports to 21000 not 20000

Gr8! What version of NewCS did you use? Are there less freezing with NDS?
