You don't need the Box ID - just set it to auto instead of to manual. Mine works perfectly with the latest MultiCAS 1.62.A07 (and A06).

Big D.

The answer to the first part is yes it will stop working. Stored on the card are your entitlements (subscription packages and expiry dates ) once you are past the date then it stops. That's what gets updated when it's in the sky box. I don't know if you can receive the updates via the Azbox.

You won't get any sub channels, absolutely not.
Your card will update with the "free" entitlements, as far as I know - that means Five, Sky 3 etc....you don't need a card for ITV, BBC, Sky News....etc.

Do you know how long NDZ keys are operational? Do they change montly/weekly?

With newcs you can read them off the card by attaching to the newcs server via a web browser once started you can select the option read your entitlements.

I don't really know how long they last I would guess maybe a month depends on when the update get through.

If you really mean the UK card, then they are updated daily for six weeks hence - anyway, that was the case for the old blue card.

could somebody make things clear -- will newcs+mgcamd update entitlements for white card and do I need N-line for this or this will be done via Transponder?

You'll have to try it and see (entitlements last 6 weeks).
If you are using Multicas then I think the answer is yes. Also, you should be able to see the entitlements in Multicas - if they expire in 6 weeks then you're good to go.
Report back when you know the answer.

Here is my report. I've tried everything mgcamd+newcs, and multicas.
The problem if you don't have boxkey you can't update the card.
I've tried 'auto' in multicas and nothing. it cant even open a channel
with 'auto' (((

How do you know they updated - do you have 6 weeks worth?

Presumably, you don't know whether Multicas or the combo of Mgcamd and Newcs worked?

With the serial you can obtain the box-key. Do a google search and you'll find a serial to box-id converter...

Here's what I beleive -
Your card needs activating and an official box is probably required to do this.
Freesat cards are not married to any box and will update in your AZbug OK.

So, you need to find a mate with a digibox and you're good to go. If your really adventurous, nip into currys and play with one of their boxes (ie. get the serial number and the other info they ask for) and try activating the card in your AZ.
