no problem i thought i let you know that was the wrong number
i got no idea what else you can do, i know you can save all your setting from your receiver to the usb stick as needed for back up
have you try to edit your setting with notepad ,i never try that myself
i could be wrong of course, but i don't realy know other way sorry

ok thanks dxman i thought id read somewhere on here that you could say for instance create your cfg on your pc then paste it to your usb stick then upload to reciever instead of having to use 8281 method which takes a lot longer if you have 6 clines

yes i agree it is a pain in the butt
i got a problem myself when i press 8281 it prompt to put a pin number
and all the PW are encrypted i must have a problem somewhere
I got an idea something corrupted in the configuration
must do it again from scratch
ask GIGA about your problem he will put it right for you
I also heard about the use of a notepad, but i can't remember how
anyway good luck i hope you sort it

lol dxman i too get the password bit and pin request so u got to make sure you enter them carefully and slowly lol

ps i made 2 threads about problems but know one has posted back yet but many views :(

ps it would be great if magic could update the software so these recievers are able to be a cs server now that would be real progress :)

God i thought i was the only one to have this problem
yes i put 8281 and is asking for a pin number i usualy put 0000
but that is not the issue all the pw they are encrypted when you put the c line you don't know if you made mistake or not.
i had this problem since i patch with the 714p,713p was ok
I never ask this because i thought it was only my problem, but i can remember putting 713p then i lost all my satellite positions, now i got the latest patch that pin number thing appear every time i put 8281
there must be a problem somewhere in the patch, and i hope they will cure it
thank you for let me know
