Icecrypt internet setup

I have an ICECRYPT S4000 and need to be able to connect to an external CCcam server. I have an IP address assigned by DHCP from my router and tried incubuscamd, Fortis CCcam and Octacom plugins to no avail. It seems the box does not talk to the internet. This has been tried on mine and my mates network setup and even plugged into the modem and still nothing. Is there a setting that might be stopping communication outside of the network? I can telnet and ftp the box from my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you telnet to the box and then ping anything from it?

I can telnet the box and I can now ping google from it so it is seeing the external network but I need to get the plugin to work

I take it once you have done this that you have server to connect too?

I do have a CCcam C line to connect to a server.
