New AZBOX ULTRA model

there is now a AZBOX Ultra, aimed at America....does hw blind scan, seems to take same firmware, and is $300 approx.

think its an Elite with HW blind search ....

do a search on fleabay for "Azbox Ultra"

Not quite - it's not an Elite as it has an embedded tuner (Elite not).
Also, chasis seems different - I don't think the Elite box has a fan vent built in.

So, basically a different mobo and different container - otherwise identical!

One thing that's bound to be the same is same old bugs :-)

well i am a YANK in the south east US. LOL.
i think they should fix the boxs they have before they make a new one
and fix the slow ass blind scan on the hd premium plus.
untill they fix the ones they allready have they wont sell me a new one.

blind scans are ALWAYS slow on ANY box mate, my icecrypt can take 50 mins to finish a scan...so dont knock it.

it depends on the sat too, east sats seem to scan quicker than west sats, i dont know why....

im quite excited about the ME's - beefed up hardware, and an android OS, cant be a bad thing in my humble opinion.

Hi "azbox logo" appears while changing channels at random also will record tv but wont play it back! Do you have one?

Hi ManikM, no 5305 on usb with e2 on dom. But I have always had the flashing "AZBOX logo" on every OF firmware and have tried most.Admit e2 looks good but cant get card reader to read my "uk" card [offical] and thats a big issue for me.Hope I hav'nt highjacked your thread!

50 min for the az to do a blind scan and some other boxs do a better job in 15 min
so yes the az is slow but i still like my az hd premium plus and one other problem is
that it want do turbo hd and if all the sat providers switch to turbo then the az boxs
will go to the trash. i am not bashing i am just stating the facts and the fact is they
could do a lot better.
