Just when we thought the bbc would get their act together to show the race in hd they have said they won't be broadcasting it in hd this season. Nascar has been showing their races since 2005 which puts the bbc to shame. There's no point waiting for the bbc on making their minds up to show f1 in hd, it might take take years. But for the time being are there any channels out there broadcasting the f1 season in hd? I think ORF1 HD at 19e and Channel 10 are showing the race in hd but encrypted. So are there any feeds out there showing the race in hd. I don't really care if it's in a foreign language, i'll just listen to the commentary off the radio.

Cheers.

It's just so sad that it's taking so long in the UK for hd to pickup. Look at freesat at 28e, only ITV and BBC HD. Sly have around 20 hd channels but you need deep pockets to pay for it in the long run.

And I have seen the other post.

its down to the amount of hd cameras needed a couple each corner a few on each straight then carting them round the world, not the beebs fault ,takin so long for hd to pickup ?but as you stated m8 the uk has the most hd channels of any provider in europe, but you have to pay

it is sad , but the other post really answered it all , nobody is going to magic up a channel or cameras sorry.

Installing cameras on the tracks is not an impossible task, we just need someone to pull their finger out and get the ball rolling with funding, management and co-operation with the many broadcasters showing this great event. I'm sure if they had this plan implemented this will urged more people the buy hd tv's and show more interest in the sport plus most of us will be viewing it for free i hope.

you are missing one point bernie holds the rights to f1 ,so bbc or anyone else cannot just go sticking cameras in even if they wanted to without his say so ,and bernies too tight to buy them.
