Hi all, I'm new to the forum :woot-035:

I've just ordered an Icecrypt S4000 HD sat tuner and I've like to use it with my current NAS box. I have a number of mkv files and wondered if the Icecrypt will play them without needing to convert them to a different file type?

Many thanks,
Stu

It won't at the moment mate, but hopefully sometime in the future it will.

Gutted.
Is there a list of compatable file types I could view anywhere? Might aswell make a start on converting them if they're not compatable yet.

Oh and also... is there a 7-day EPG available for these?
i.e. I'd like to try and get it looking a little bit like a Sky box in terms of ease of use & functionality etc...

its early days, but theres lot of good stuff out on the OCTAGON SF 10818 (which is the same as the Icecrypt - just a different bootloader)

there are a few E2 images out there, which do play .mkv files.....

How about STR files?
Can I take the hard drive out of my newly subscribed Sky+HD box and put it into the Icecrypt... would it then playback my current recordings based on the fact that I've got a full Sky subscription?

I'm guessing not, but I haven't had chance to play with it yet and wondered if anyone's had any experience of this?

No 7 day EPG only now and next.
