Hi guys,
I must be really stupid cos I cant get the CCcam 2.1.4 Auto Installer Application by KinkDink to work.
It comes up with error saying can not write file basically as it requires a share.
I can connect to the S4000 via trying in ip in the run section of xp and that will bring up the folders etc but I can only copy files from it, not to it. If I try it just shares can not write file no share available.
Am I doing something really stupid here?

Forgot to add that I am using the latest firmware download from this great site!
Check your firewall isn't blocking the installer app by kink.
CCcam plugin doesn't work on the newer firmware you have to use the Xcam or Octacam plugin which acts as a CCcam client instead.

Just to check one thing......
I install firmware version 'ICECRYPT.S4000HDPVR.v1.07.97' download from this site and receiver he show is version in info menu.
On boot up after loader it does say icecrypt but when go into the cas menu there is no on/off for internal card reader as mentioned in the text file by kinkdink?
In fact my cas menu show two internal card readers, is normal?
At work so not run any install yet, would on/off option show after install one of kinkdink package?

Type in 1407 (?) on cas menu to open up extra option ? BTW there is a newer fortis release of cccam dated either the 16th or 18th which works on latest firmware and is much better

Thanks jgdin!
Thats something I must have missed, will try later.
Also.
Just so I understand this are the kinkdink installers an easy way to copy the files to the right places or does it do more than that?
I mean if I did put the files from the folders supplied by kink via say ftp, would it work same once I added the c line.
Again, thanks for the replies ;)

The releases that Octagon are issuing are beta software from Fortis not software that Octagon has written themselves. I'm told that Icecrypt will only issue s/w that they know is working and is a reason to release
