Audio out through scart socket?

I have sound and picture through HDMI but I want to have sound to my surround sound system, can i use the scart socket out to my surround sound at the same time

you could, but it will be stereo only! Don't you have other outputs on the source? digital coax or optical spdif. If you insist on using scart:
