Playback and record at same time

Hi People, my wife stumbled across this yesterday. I am using firmware 4466 on my Elite. My wife pressed menu key on the remote and went to recorded programs, she then selected a program and pressed okay. The recorded program played and all this was happening while the box was recording another program. Not sure if anyone else has found this out already or if it is just another quirk but it seems to work.

Did the recording work? or was the record light only on looking like it was recording.

Recording worked but I think it froze for a second about the time we started watching the recorded program

I tried recording 10 mins couple of times while watching a recorded program didn't face any freezing issue.
