Can you describe your problem more in detail ? Then I can ask for it.

thanks Eazy - what i mean is this, the Icecrypt S4000 is the same as an Octagon SF-1018 - same hardware, just the RESELLERs use a different bootloader.

i.e. a Icecrypt S4000 cannot run Octagon 1018 (alliance) firmware, and an Octagon cannot run Icecrypt S4000 firmware.

There is a lot more support for the Octagon, and i would like to try its firmware.

I think you can use the AAF recovery tool 2.5 to change bootloaders, but not sure of the risks.

There is something called Maxi U-Boot too, which lets you have a boot menu so you can run which ever firmware you choose, i would like to know how to do this.

Cheers!

ohh yes mate. There is a risk. If you damage the hardware with it the warranty will be lost as far as I know. So I dont know if it is worthy.

You need the AAF Recovery TOOL V3 1018 for the beginning but I dont know the fully instruction.
