EPG for BBC & ITV on OoZooN

Hi All,

I have been using OoZooN with permanent time shift for a while and think this is the perfect combo on my DM8000.

1 thing I would like to know is how to automatically load (and refresh) EPG data for the Astra 2 channels.

In the EPG I see info for all Dutch channels (Astra 1 and 3), although I never did anything to get that, but no info for BBC and ITV channels (Astra 2).

Is there anybody that can help me with this ?

I have installed that from the plugins menu and activated it, but nothing happens.

I started again from scratch.
I have set up a new OoZooN image om my DM 8000 HD.
Then I set up my bouquets.
Then I installed CrossEPG.
I then did an update and YESSSS, I now have BBC and ITV EPG data.
Fantastic.

Just a question.

When I go to the settings of CrossEPG, I see that "Enable provider skyuk_astra2_28.2" is set to "No".
Why does it still update my Astra 2 channels then ?
Does it, by deafult, update the channels in your bouquets ?

Good question... mine is set to yes, and works fine?

I have found that it isn't the most robust of plugins, and often starts downloading randomly, but this seems to have settled down now and doesn't happen that often. Also these is occasional corruption of the titles when zapping. Other than these niggles, it's the best I've found.

And unfortunately ... crossepg doesn't load the BBC and ITV EPG anymore.
Bummer.

Hard to say, I had problems in the past with corrupt lamedb.

Below I have attached the best UK channel list ever painstakingly created by B16MCC and all credit goes to him. With this list all channel numbers correspond exactly to official box, it also has categories as official box too.

It is work in progress but really is superb.

You could back up your own list first and then try this which has no problems with crossepg.

To use this list you must enable duplicate bouquets in dreambox edit 3.00 advanced options.

Crossepg should be set up for 28.2 not 28.4.


Hi guys, I've reworked the bouquets from scratch using my DM800 setup to 28.2e only. The new V2.0 bouquet consists of 1 bouquet containing all channels using 'Place holder channels' to ensure the channel numbering is consistant with the original Sly EPG list. This means, if you enter channel 106 you'll get Sly One, or if you enter 536, you'll get Discovery HD, exactly as you would on a Sly box.

Also included are the following bouquets with no place holder channels.

I've used the official Sly Website EPG to compile this list, so hopefully its as up to date as it possibly can be.

Important note:- When you open Dreambox Edit, check the Options page and in the Advanced tab ensure you have checked 'Allow duplicate entries in (user) bouquets'. This is essential for the channel numbering to work in the first bouquet. If you do not check this option all the place holder channels will be removed and screw up the numbering.[B]
