Can anyone in UK or Europe receive the Multichoice Package on Eutelsat W7 satellite @ 36 East
If so can you say what dish size, lnb type & rough location in Europe

I see what u mean -You would need a dish the size of ireland to get multichoice africa in the uk
Strange i thought i'd read somewhere shortly after it went live, someone in the uk said they could pick it up-Must have been refering to channels broadcast on the europe beams

Looking at the footprint, you'd be right in thinking there's no chance of this in the UK, but you'd be wrong! Several frequencies on the sub-sahara african beam have been received in the UK. Just checked now and i'm currently getting signal on 4 frequencies with a 1.2m dish & AZbox in west yorkshire.
12015H 28%
12034V 27%
12054H 28%
12245H 31%
I've had signal on others before (11996V, 12073V, 12092V), seems to vary by time of day. It seems to be only frequencies on the sub-sahara african beam, none of the other african beams have been received to my knowledge. Give it a go, you might be surprised!

Hi guys! I receive all the frequencies of this satellite (except Russia Beams) with 82% signal in the North of Portugal. At night the signal becomes stronger and some frequencies have 87/90%!

yes -- SatSearcher -- same here for me --
all multichoice africa transponders receiving ok -- on the sub-sahara african beam - but not the africa beam
i notice all the russian beam transponders on this sat have left or right circular polarisation -- have you ever tried for these with a dielectric plate fitted ?
i think these are the only k/u/ transponders i,v seen listed anywhere with circular polarisation ?
