install HDD in the ICECRYPT S4000HDPVR

i bay ICECRYPT S4000HDPVR but without HDD in it
can i install HDD and do i need cable for connection or it will come with the box

It should come with the cables and the caddy screws in the box... mine did anyway :)

so did mine as well , the cables are standard , a sata hdd cable and a sata power cable , but the screws are bespoke , and mine were attached to the hdd carrier inside the unit

I fitted a maxtor 500 gig sata hhd and used the menu to format it

Do the Maxtor run warm though, or are they ok i am looking to add an HDD to my receiver and looking at people's experiance on this matter

warm ? = yes

standard type of warmth ? = yes

I can easily put my hand over it and touch the metal ok , not too hot

just above it are vents which allow the hot air to escape

if you were worried there is no reason why you cannot add a small pc fan to cool the hdd or the box further
