Tomtom xl iq not coming on

I have this tomtom xl IQ which when i connect to pc or mains the green lights comes on but I can not turn tt on. Any ideas please:o10:

Try leaving it charging for 20 or 30 minutes before you turn it on, or try re-setting it :-
"To reset your TomTom device, do the following:

1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.

2. Reset your device.
Press and hold the On/Off button until your device restarts. This can take more than fifteen seconds."

HI i did that even charged over night but still not coming on.

This happened to my tomtom one at first intermittently then would not come on at all I eventually found that it was a broken connection on the on switch.It is very easy to get at once the unit is dismantled and resoldering fixed mine.If it is not working you have nothing to lose by checking this.

Hi

Turn it upside down so you can see where it mounts to the windscreen mount,to the left of the connection there is a very small hole, find a paper clip and insert it into the hole and push-you should feel the paper clip drop slightly,hold it there for a min of 10 secs then remove-now press and hold the on-off button- it should re-boot-if not try again

Yes....

Paperclip in the bottom hole for a few seconds should fix it.

Then turn it on and it should be fine.
