network drive access on BH elite 1.2

Does anyone know how I can access network drives on dream elite BH 1.2? The network browser seems to have been removed and (so far?) not appeared in the official plugin list. In fact this seems to be true of the latest kernel images I have tried. Is there an alternative I could use?

No problem until "lan". I just have 'integrated wireless'(not used) and 'integrated ethernet'. This has always been the only options since I stared using DM8K/various incarnations of blackhole e2 firmware. Never came accross 'lan'. Is there something that needs to be turned on in the settings(blue X2) panel to enable this?
I have played around with the network.... tab and there is no setting in there for the browser. The BH 1.2 is impressively fast so I am loath to 'regress' to the 1.0 which I know has got the browser. I just wonder if there was a way round the problem or a need to wait until the elite team provide a solution( as they have in the past)
