Dual output LNB and two receivers
Output#1 of LNB connected to receiver#1 tuned to a Horizontal polarized mux
Output#2 of LNB connected to receiver#2 tuned to a Vertical polarized mux.
What would happen? An LNB can only be tuned to H or V, so would one take priority? or could the LNB be overloaded in this case?
if your lnb have say four ouputs like mine they tune to what u whant, each output acts as a lnb in its own right. hope that helps.

To complete the story:
Current Dual Universal LNBs act as two independent LNBs (as eme stated).
Current Quad Universal LNBs act as four independent LNBs.
The exception is Quatro LNBs (which are used in commercial distribution systems) where the four outputs are fixed as:
Low band, Vertical
Low band, Horizontal
High band, Vertical
High band, Horizontal
Hope that helps.

Yes it makes perfect sense now actually. Otherwise with multi-room, they would only be limited to one polarisation at a time.
Thanks guys.
Also bear in mind that using a Quad LNB there´s some loss of signal strength on the 4 outputs. So you have to pay some price for such (otherwise convenient) setup.

How much does the signal strengh drop?
Reason i ask is, in Southern Spain i use an Octo 8 output and havn't noticed a drop in strengh.
