Hi

I'm intersted in buying an AZ HD box elite having spend several years using standard satellite box receivers and would like to have some feedback on what people think of the box. I understand that moving over to a linux operating system will be challanging but in particular I'd like to know is the operating system stable and how does it compare to other linux boxes on the market. Is the operating system proprietrary or open?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

It's a great machine i own one and if you like to "work" hard with your receiver it's one of the best. The OS is proprietary (i mean the core of the OS), but tools were released to compile plugins and tools for it, and Enigma 2 is "unofficialy" developing (no releases till now tho). so if you are looking for a "plug and play" receiver just forget azbox but if you like to play with it every day and learn more and more about it it's a great machine.
